What do I say to an affiliate who complains he's not getting as much out of SFI as he's putting into it?

Simple really, if you're investing time without a return you're investing your ime in the wrong activities.
The fastest and easiest way to get a return for your effort is to Sell Products. Each product you sell gets you VP if it is your PRM who buys it and that moves you up toward EA.
Most of my friends who join the Business side (SFI) are more interested in "getting money". They are interested because they are broke. They join free and do not invest.
But there is a whole group of people who are not interested nor do they have the time for the SFI part of the business. And of these people:
1. Some like the products. A favorite and one that gets you 873 VP is the Moringa. It has free shipping and is a natural "super food" replacement for daily Vits. Once informed, it is easy to sell. You get a commission and coveted VersaPoints.
2. Some like the "action" of playing the Auctions. And as the SFI Auctions evolve they become more and more fun.
3. Some like the games, especially my sport enthusiasts friends. There are pubs here that follow various sports. I am sure you have them. How about walking into one and telling them to increase the gaming excitement by creating their own league game which their customers (other enthusiasts) can join in.
Go for it the sky is the limit. How big is your imagination?

Is SFI good for students (18 or older)? Why or why not?

SFI is great for students.
I am too old to be a student, but I have a nephew in SFI. He is also in College. He is the first of my extended family to attend college and part of the reason is SFI. He works hard everyday on SFI. When he first joined SFI he went to the local temple because that was the only place he could get WiFi. Now he uses the WiFi at his school and he has recently bought a WiFi connection for his home.
He does not make a million dollars on SFI but he makes enough for school, extra money and a few other things. He does not need a million dollars but what he does need he is making. He was tempted to leave school and work as a mechanic because for him, at this time in his life that job offered good money. And he could help out his mom and dad by working. SFI came to his rescue. He is now able to both make some extra money and stay in school. He works on his SFI anytime of day or night, he does not need to keep a schedule. And if he does this for four years just where will he be in his business when he graduates.
His major is computer technology, so he knows his computer which only helps with SFI and all his classmates see his money, see his SFI business cards, See his SFI/ECA fliers and want a piece of the action.
Again, it does not take a million dollars for a student in the developing countries to do well financially. So I think students are a huge boon for becoming new Affiliates. And they know computers much better than we older folks.

I find that sometimes it is an advantage. I work at night and do SFI in the day. My USA affiliates are working SFI after they get home from work and it is easy to connect.
To keep track of every one I have an excel file with their Name, Country, SFI ID, and Email. Then I use this link to set up skype appointments. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/
I encourage every member to go to the Leadership page for their country and connect with Top SFI Affiliates in their country via A2A.
https://www.sfimg.com/Leaders/Country
Once they get a reply to the A2A friend request I have my affiliates send this message:
Dear NAME
Thank you for befriending me in SFI's A2A members area. I too am an SFI affiliate from COUNTRY. I see you have done well in SFI and I was wondering, are there any problems I may have since I am from COUNTRY? Is there any advice or direction that you might give me? Do you have your own ECA, or have you recruited any ECAs from COUNTRY, that I might visit and support?
Thank you for your Time. Your A2A friend,
Affiliate's Name
These things work well for me.

How can I win a Pricebenders auction?

I am no champion at the Auction but here are a few ideas.
Bid for what you want to win.
Bid within your financial limits.
Bid on no auto bidder auctions. People seem to get bored and loose interest and you can sometimes win at surprisingly good prices.
Bid to grow your business or to obtain MRP so you win no matter what. You may not win the item but you win, VP, New PSAs and MRP.
