I tried using Skype because a lot of people recommend it for communicating with our teams. However, once I had Skype installed my computer became very unresponsive and my antivirus program identified Skype as the issue. I uninstalled Skype and have had no further issues.

Skype is a great idea in theory but until they improve the software I cannot recommend it.

What was the best advice you ever got from your upline and how has it helped you?

I never got any advice from my upline. When I first started I looked to them as being knowledgeable and able to help guide me, but they never responded to any of my requests.

Despite this I have built my team and learned from the training, forums, and A2A friends. I have committed myself to being a better help to my downline than my upline has been for me and I always respond to questions and regularly encourage my downline to keep pushing forward.

What is the best way to help my affiliates who can't afford to purchase anything?

Well;
The best way that I have found is to encourage them to do the best that they can with what they have. Tell them to make sure that they login every day to complete all of the actions that give them free VP. Let them know that they can advertise for free through various venues such as social networking, blogs, emails, etc... I even print flyers from the marketing section and send them out in every piece of outgoing mail that I send.

I personally encourage people to join Wave3

Wave3 is a wonderful program but does need improvement

#1 convert our affiliate referral links into a "tiny url" and have them custom printed onto the decals that go on our vehicles. I have 2 vehicles in my household which have Wave3 decals on them and everywhere I go I am advertising and referring people to TC and Wave3. But since there is no custom URL on the decal people who respond to this advertising got to Tripleclicks and sign up and I get no credit. Sure they give us

Has anyone tried the paid Facebook advertising and, if so, did it work/was it was worth the cost?

I tried paid advertising on Facebook a couple of months ago. I had a $100 credit to use and thought I would give it a try. I used ads from the marketing section here on SFI and got no results. Once that was done I began Posting my gateway links on Facebook as well as anywhere else I can think of, blogs, links shares, etc... and I have seen much better results from those postings than I got from the paid adverts. Don't forget also that you can advertise for free with flyers, cards, etc... There are

How do you use the information in your Genealogy about the VP your affiliates (individually and collectively) have generated?

I check my genealogy daily to keep tabs of people's progress. You can see from there how much VP each of your team members have. You can also see what rank they are.

You can sort your genealogy to mail separate groups (i.e. sending welcome messages to new affiliates, congratulating those who have made achievements, or encouraging those who need to take more action)

From your genealogy pages you can also transfer TCredits to your downline members or award them with gift certificates.

Good question;
I have been running contests for the last few months. I have been setting them up something like this.

My most recent contest goes like this.

The first 5 to make EA status will get a $10 gift certificate and the next 5 will receive 10 TCredits.

You of course can vary your own requirements and prizes as you see fit, but I have seen much more action from my downline since I started running contests.

I think the incentive to win something

How do I present the SFI/TC opportunity to a prospect without "overselling" it and turning them off?

This is a very real issue that I myself have faced. I feel that the best results come from keeping it simple. When introducing sfi to new people make sure that they know 3 main keys. First that sfi is not a get rich quick scheme but a business opportunity. Second is to let them know that it is free to sign up. Last if they wish to try sfi for themselves they need to keep in mind that with any business you need to work it or profit is non existent. Every thing else can be found on sfi and they can

How have you used SFI's Live Chat (the yellow bubbles that appear in the Genealogy, etc.) to your benefit?

Live chat is valuable tool for communication with your downline. I personally chat with various members of my team on a regular basis. It gives me a chance to give them immediate assistance or advice with any issues or questions they may have. Sending messages will eventually get answers to their questions but live chat helps eliminate the waiting for a reply. It also seems like a more personable and intimate way to communicate. I like real time conversations and many of my downline seem to feel
