The first thing an affiliate needs to recognize is that their success with their business is up to them, and one needs to take ownership of it. Never count on someone else or blame someone else for your success or failure.

Having said that, there are things an affiliate can do to get help with their business.

They should first go through all the training here in SFI. There is a wealth of information right here in the SFI site to help one succeed with their business.

They can reach out to co-sponsors.

They can post on the forum seeking answers to questions they may have and to make connections with other SFI members.

They can read books and articles to gain insights on how to effectively market online. One should always be educating themselves because marketing techniques are plentiful.

If one desires to be successful, then they won't let any obstacle stand in their way. It's what separates the successful affiliates from the ones who fail. Stay positive and NEVER quit.

Support can come in various forms, and doesn't have to be financial support.

For instance, if you've learned some good free marketing strategies, you can share those with your team members. How to utilize Facebook to generate free leads is a perfect example.

Provide your team members with some resources they can use to generate traffic, such as creating a list of popular free classified sites, traffic exchanges, or safelists, just to name a few.

Even offering a list of good books to read on marketing, or developing the proper mindset for success, is a fantastic way to offer support for your team.

So don't get distracted by thinking you can't provide support for your team, simply because you yourself haven't earned a lot of commissions yet. There are so many other ways that you can grow a successful team.

One must take their business seriously if they hope to be successful, and realize that success is a journey, not a race.

So many people join a business hoping for quick results, but the truth is that results are built over time.

Therefore, it takes consistency to log into your SFI back office every day and perform your Daily Tasks even when it only takes a few minutes each day.

It also takes consistency to perform your weekly tasks, such as writing an email to your team and offering tips and support to help them grow their teams.

Consistency is the one skill that is tough to master, but if you do, then you can be a rock star in this business.

Just keep your eye on the end goal.

The fact that you say "I am broke" means the first thing you need to address is your mindset. If you believe you are broke then you are going to be broke.

I would recommend reading some of the personal development books available to start working on your perception of yourself.

Start developing a vision for your life, and where you see yourself in 6 months, a year, and 5 years from now. Reframe your current financial situation from "I am broke" to "I am becoming successful" and then take action to make that vision a reality.

Until you do this first step nothing else will really matter.
