First, Congratulations on making BTL. To continue to make BTL each month, you need to have a standing order for the 1500 points. Do your daily "to do list" each day. Make sure you rate SFI and your sponsor each month. Buy e-books (they had great prices). Review the items you buy (that is 25 VersaPoints for each item rated). Play the auctions, you not only get VP for purchasing bids, but you get a point for each time you place a bid, and five MRP's (not to mention that if you win the auction you get a great product). There are many ways to get those points - check your "to do list" to see how you can make those points.

Will moving up my personal rank in SFI help to gain more trust from my downline members and help fuel further growth?
I think moving up your rank in SFI is good, especially for your SFI Business, but I am not sure it will help gain the trust and loyalty of your downline members. Sure it will let them know you believe in the business and are working toward a higher goal and have the knowledge to get there. I think to really gain the trust of your downline you have to let them know that you are definitely there for them also. That if they need help, you will be there, make sure they know where and how to reach you. This goes not only for your downline, but also your a2a friends in SFI. This also applies to anyone who reaches out to you for help. Make sure you encourage them. We all need that little encouragement and sometimes that little extra push to keep going and to stick with the program. Be there for them and that will fuel further growth.
