First of all, make sure there is a picture of your smiling face by the welcome
message. Let them know they are working with a real person who is friendly and
helpful.

The welcome message is your chance to introduce yourself and tell them a little
about who you are as a person. Don't make it too businesslike. Make sure you
sound like someone the average new affiliate can relate to.

Then in the welcome message be sure to mention the 200 VP bonus for making 500 VP
in the first 24 hours. Remember that a brand new affiliate might not understand
the importance of VersaPoints so it might be nice to tell them how you feel when
you get a couple hundred VP you weren't expecting.

Then I recommend offering a gift certificate for meeting a particular goal of your
choice. It's a great way to add a little extra incentive, and they will spend it
in TripleClicks so you can expect to get some of the value back in Direct
Commissions and Versapoints.

I think most importantly let them know you are there to help them along the way
if they have any trouble. Working online can seem pretty lonely and scary for
someone just getting started if they are used to a crowd of coworkers and supervisors
around them. Let them know you are only an Instant Message (preferred) or email away.

There are many factors involved in answering this question.

Firstly, it depends somewhat on where you are getting your PSA's. If you have 5 PSAs that are from your warm market (friends and family) They are more likely to need coaching than if you get 10 Affiliates from a Network Marketing forum where you could expect the participants to have some experience with MLM basics and marketing in general.

From some sources such as Traffic Exchanges, Safelists and other online sources you can expect a high fallout rate. They often have no more information than what's on the gateway page before signing up. They may just join to find out more information about what SFI is out of curiosity, with little actual interest in becoming an affiliate. These types of sources will require that you go for continuously sponsoring more and more affiliates.

So some sources will produce affiliates that require more coaching while other sources require sponsoring lots of affiliates.

Then there is also the factor of how good you are at coaching. Some people may not have what it takes to be a good coach, and may be better at getting bigger numbers and hoping for the ones who are go-getters that will become big successes with little or no coaching. They will need to sponsor a lot of affiliates in this case.

Maybe a good strategy for these people if they do get an affiliate who is a better coach than they are themselves, is to keep promoting for more affiliates. Then they can reassign them to their downline members who are better coaches than they are. This will free the coach from having to do so much promotion and enable him to concentrate more on coaching.

It also depends how good you are at organizing yourself and figuring out which affiliates are just wasting your time and which ones are worth spending a little extra time on. If you spend 40 hours a week dealing with questions from people who don't bother to read the information available at their fingertips (who aren't likely to get very far anyway) then you are better off using that time to find people with more potential.

Work with the workers, but a good affiliate with high potential shouldn't require more than a few hours of support a week.

Another thing is that newbies are going to require more support and coaching than people who have been at it for a while. So as you get more affiliates worth coaching, the ones you already have will require less and less of your time and effort. A steady influx of new affiliates will keep the business growing, but won't necessarily mean you are spending more and more time on support and coaching.

"What are the signs that a new affiliate is going to be a good one?"

I think the answer to this question depends on what you mean by a "good one".


For example, If you mean that an affiliate is good enough that you don't need any more, then I don't believe that any of them are that good.

I know the ultra-simple 3 step plan says "Recruit 5 affiliates" but why should you stop there? Do you seriously believe 5 "good" affiliates is going to provide you with an income you can retire on? That is just an initial goal to get you started if you don't want to get bogged down with information overload.

You never know when one of those might quit being a "good" affiliate for whatever reason. Maybe he thinks he has 5 good ones under him so he doesn't need to work anymore!

If you are training your affiliates to duplicate what you do will you tell them once they get X good affiliates they are set for life? Then what will happen to your income when your whole downline has enough good affilates and stops promoting?



If, however, you want to know when an affiliate is good enough to deserve your support and advice, then I would say they all are!

You should never neglect supporting one of your affiliates just because he didn't have the "signs of a good affiliate." Sure, you can and should give extra attention to the people who seem to be putting in an effort, but I don't believe there is any fixed formula you can go by to determine which ones deserve the extra help.

How would you feel if your sponsor gave more support to another affiliate and neglected you because you didn't make it past round 4 in E365 and didn't make the fast track bonus? By his formula you may not have the signs of a good affiliate. But someone who does fit his formula might not need the help, or might drop out after a month or so.



The only valid reason I can see for wanting to know if someone is a "good" affiliate is when evaluating advertising methods.

If you can determine that affiliates who sign up from an ad posted on a free online classified board have a higher success rate than affiliates who you recruit by sending a gift card via snail mail (or vice versa), then that could be valuable information that will help you decide where to focus your advertising efforts.

If that is your reason behind wanting to know if someone is a good affiliate then I think you should wait and gather several months if not years of data before you can make a statistically valid judgement of which advertising sources are more effective at bringing in "good" affiliates.

As for me, I am not that good a statistician and don't have the patience to make that evaluation. If you are and you do, please share the results with the rest of us ;)

Hmmm, the BEST way to sell TCredits?

TCredits are hard to sell.

In order to sell something you have to offer something that your
target market wants.

It's too late to try to sell TCredits to the people who want them.
They are already TripleClicks members. You can only profit from these
sales if they are your PRMs or part of your SFI team (CSA's, PSA's and
downline if you are a team leader).

That is a pretty limited market (for most of us anyway) and the system
already does a pretty good job of selling them on buying TCredits so
you don't have to.

People who are not TripleClicks members usually have no idea what a
TCredit is and they don't want them.

So, if your target market isn't existing TripleClicks members, who are thay?

First let's examine what TCredits will be useful for.

They are useful to SFI Affiliates in many ways, but we already discussed
(eliminated?) those people as your best target market.

For others TCredits are useful to buy TripleClicks products, to bid on
Pricebenders auctions or to list their own items for sale.

Which group do you think is a better target market? People who are looking
to make a purchase, or people who want to sell their stuff. Usually, people
who want to sell stuff are looking to make some money, not buy a lot of
TCredits.

If you do find a good place to advertise to these people, your TCredit sales
will probably be low numbers. This is not the best way to sell TCredits.

So that leaves people who are online looking to buy something.

The best way to offer these people (people who are already looking to make
a purchase) something that they want is to advertise the sales of brand
name products at steep discounts through Pricebender auctions.

These should be advertised in places where you will already find people looking
to buy something. Product review blogs are a great place to find these people.

These are the places that people who already know they want to buy something
frequent when they want more information about a particular product. They have
their credit card in hand and they google the product they are interested in
to find out more details and the best price they can get it at.

It might be hard to convince an existing product review blogger to sell you
advertising space in these cases though, because he is trying to sell the
product himself. But if you set up your own product review blog you can
advertise what you like.

The products on your product review blog don't have to be limited to
Pricebenders Auction products. You can also advertise any particular item
listed (TC Direct or ECA listings) and get new TC members that way as well.

Of course, there are many other ways to get PRM and in particular Pricebender
bidders, but in my opinion this is the best.

The first step is to open a general discussion in which you can make an assessment of what they are open to. Because your warm market is not a targeted audience, many of them will not be interested in a business opportunity. A majority of the general population just does not have an entrepreneurial mindset and they won't be responsive to claims of income or compensation plans.

That doesn't mean that they wouldn't be interested in buying through TripleClicks or Pricebenders auctions, though.

But if you start off talking about the biz opp these people probably won't listen to anything about TripleClicks either.

Approach these kind of people by telling them about the great deals at Pricebenders or other products on TripleClicks that you know they buy anyways.

On the other hand, some people might be at a point in their life where they aren't satisfied with the way things are going for them and they could use some extra income. These people might be more open to discussions of the opportunity to become an affiliate.

Start by talking to them about what you are earning and how easy it is if you just go step by step. Don't go into too much detail unless they have particular questions. Give them your link and let the SFI website handle the details.

Just try to keep in mind what their viewpoint is and make the discussion about them, not about you. Tell them what SFI, TripleClicks or Pricebenders can do for them to help with their current situation.

In other answers to your question I have seen many definitions of the word "Superstar".

Several answers simply describe what it takes to be a successful affiliate. Certainly that's part of it, but in my mind a superstar should be more than just a successful affiliate.

I prefer not to make up my own meaning, as it renders the question itself meaningless. I could define superstar as anyone who gets out of bed before 11 AM if I were to arbitrarily pick a meaning.

According to Wikipedia:

"Superstar is a term used to refer to a celebrity who has great popular appeal and is widely known, prominent or successful in some field."

So firstly, you need to be a celebrity. Then it goes on to say a superstar is also widely known (doesn't that come automatically with being a celebrity?) prominent, or successful in some field.

For the purposes of answering this question I think we must, however, limit the celebrity status to being widely known within the SFI community, because I doubt there is any way any of us will ever become well known to the general public due to our accomplishments in SFI.

So to be well known within the SFI community I think you should connect with everyone you can in A2A. Set a goal of connecting with at least 25 people each day. Then make sure you make interesting posts in the stream frequently for all your A2A friends to see.

Also ask thought-provoking questions in Ask SC. This will get your face in front of thousands of affiliates several times a day for the whole period (10 days) that they are rating answers, and you will continue to show up on the front Ask SC page for a while after that.

Participate in the forum as well and provide good responses that people will remember you for.

Be prominent by making one of the top spots in one or more of the leaderboards at https://www.sfimg.com/Leaders/.

First of all, while you are rating 10 to 30 answers a day, not only do you earn VP and entries to the Daily Grand, but also seeing the same question over and over gets your subconscious thinking about the answer automatically.

You may not agree with many of the answers you are rating (but I am sure this one will make sense to you!) but you will filter through all the information. You may also have information from your own personal experience or from other things you've heard or read.

All this information will be ready in your mind for when you need it.

But the next great thing about Ask SC is when you actually sit down to answer the questions... Don't answer a question the first time you see it. Take the time to rate answers for a couple of days and let you mind mull it over. Then when you sit down to answer the question you will process all the filtered information with a different part of your brain and come to a whole new level of understanding of the question and the answer.

I don't know if it works this way for everyone, but for me that is what I've found happens. I only started answering questions a couple of days ago (when I first achieved EA2) and I found that answering the questions gave me a much deeper understanding than merely reading others' answers.

Thirdly, asking questions of course will get you a plethora of viewpoints on anything you are unsure of or are having trouble understanding.

Setting goals is an important part of becoming successful in any endeavor including your SFI business.

But setting the goals is actually just the starting point. You need to to more to achieve your goals. You need to think about your goals repeatedly. In the words of Lau Tzu -

“Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habit. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”

The problem lies in that many goals are often conflicting with your subconscious beliefs and programming. That can sabotage your progress. For example, many people learn from a young age that "money is evil" and they never have any significant success at gaining money because of those beliefs. Repetition of your goals can help change those deep seated beliefs that limit your success.

There are several methods including affirmations (a form of repeating your goals), hypnosis, "afformations", and meditation that are useful to help change your subconscious paradigms that create the "reality" that you live in. If you can use these methods to implant your goals deeply where they will take root, grow and be fruitful you will achieve great success.

If, on the other hand, you have no goals, your subconscious will most likely keep you going the same way you have been. If you aren't satisfied with the results you've had in the past, setting goals is one of the first steps toward changing the results you'll get in the future.
