I want to start a newsletter for my team of affiliates. Which topics should I focus on?

The key to an effective newsletter would be rotating the hot topics which would interest your audience, to contantly renew their curiosity and learning.
Some suggestions would be:
- The scope and potential of earning through SFI.
- Practical tips/ methods of sponsoring new affiliates.
- Good value deals for purchase you have come across on TripleClicks.
- Which is better? Participating in auctions or buying products with your TCredits?
- How much time should be invested on a daily basis on SFI-oriented tasks?
Start with some of the above topics, and ask your team members for feeedback and suggestions on other topics which they might be interested in.

How can you keep your downline from quitting and giving up on SFI?

Send regular emails to your downline affiliates every week, make sure the content and tone is uplifting and encouraging, with a mixture of tips and strategies to improve their status and Versa points. This was you will have more chances of getting them to get promoted and you get more versa points while doing it.
Above all else, what is the ONE THING that has made the difference for you in succeeding with SFI?

Recently I have noticed that being with SFI has slowly developed a virtue which I am learning to apply to other components of my life,-Perseverance.
It did not come easy, cos initially when I joined SFI in 2010 I was disappointed with the slow pace of growth and let go of it completely. 2013 however, has been a year where I have come to a point of realization that nothing in life comes easy without consistent investment of our time and resources. So today if anyone would ask me what would be the secret to succeed in SFI,I will gladly say it in few words,- "Persevere, my friend, persevere."

Is SFI good for students (18 or older)? Why or why not?

It can be great for students provided they don't get addicted to SFI (can happen easily!). SFI offers a student an opportunity to market online and build a legitimate business for free (as an affiliate member alone). In the 3-4 years of study, without spending a single cent, they could potentially, using the power of social networking gather a couple of thousand PSA's in their downline. Once they start earning, they could propel their business further if they are in a position to invest financially into SFI (not mandatory though).
The bottom-line being, the student has nothing to lose and everything to gain by partnering with SFI.
