Can I set up my SFI business to run on autopilot? If so, how?

The nature of our business does not lend itself well to running on "autopilot".
Someone could set up S-Builder and/or PSAs to Go as Standing Orders that over time could bring in active PSAs. But in that scenario, there would be a slow growth of PSAs that reach EA2 or become Team Leaders.
The full benefit of the SFI Compensation plan would be unavailable. That Sponsor would never get a rating of at least 3 Stars, and so would be denied the matching VP that is one of the best benefits of our business.
So, an autopilot business might bring in some commissions, but it wouldn't be the second income, or full time income that is the potential of SFI. I would think it would take quite awhile for the cost of S-Builder and/or PSAs to Go to be surpassed in commissions if that was all a Sponsor did.

How do you prepare your affiliates for their second month in the business?

I think there are three situations to address when helping Affiliates prepare for their second month in SFI. Finding out about these situations is a great way to get to know your Affiliates and find the best ways to help them be successful.
1. The first situation is someone who can afford a Standing Order of 1500 VP. We can explain that remaining EA each month with a Standing Order of at least 1500 VP is the first step in getting a downline (2 CSAs) and commissions will be provided based on the VersaPoint Executive Pool. This Affiliate will be providing an excellent example for their downline to follow.
2. The second situation is someone with about $20 USD a month to invest in their business. We can explain that 1500 VP can be reached again with a combination of Action VP and the remainder in TripleClicks purchases. The single TCredit purchase worth 102 VP is the easiest to explain and will be $20 or less to reach EA2 status. TCredits can be used in so many ways, that a beginning Affiliate can get many benefits.
3. The third situation is someone without funds or ways to make purchases. These Affiliates will need information on how to build the business with free methods. Word of Mouth, safelist and traffic exhange advertising, and social media. We can direct the Affiate to the beginner methods for Sales and Sponsoring under the Marketing tab on the home page. We can also assure the Affiliate that if it takes several months to reach EA, that there really is no other online business opportunity that a new entrant into business can get so much free help and supporting information and it doesn't matter how long it takes.
In all situations, earning (and learning from) all the daily, weekly and monthly actions help us achieve our goals and keep up to date on all the new and important information that keeps emerging to help us all be successful.

How do you handle being rejected over and over again when presenting the SFI opportunity to others?

I always remind myself they are rejecting their understanding of SFI and not me.
I know the benefits of my SFI business, and they are real. When someone rejects the opportunity I present, it is obviously something that is in their mind, and not my experience.
I have to be careful not to blame myself for not presenting SFI well. So I remind myself regularly of the benefits I am receiving so that what others think does not affect me personally.
The fact is, SFI is a great and profitable business. Those that discover that fact are never disappointed.

Is SFI good for students (18 or older)? Why or why not?

SFI is good for students (18 years or older) for sure. Of course, they would have to take advantage of the business opportunity to reap the benefits.
For such a student the potential is enormous. When I was 18, I was offered a life insurance policy for almost pennies. If I had taken that offer and kept with it, it would have provided a great pension for my old age.
The SFI business is even more powerful than a pension and any 18 year old who is offered this opportunity and follows through will benefit. And if I find one of those students, it will benefit me too.

Do you need to have your own website (if so, why) or are the Gateway websites provided by SFI adequate?

The SFI Gateways are absolutely adequate! However, your own website has its own advantages. On your own website (and if you know how to design it) you have control over the look and feel, and you can create targeted messages and promote in very many ways.
I have discovered that there are those looking to make money online that are good at creating downlines, and those that are more interested in the power of sales. Of course SFI is strong in both those areas, and you can make that case on your own website.
You might also be able to get more detailed statistics of traffic from the website hosting service. SFI can provide hit counts, but webhosts can often provide the country of origin and other good information on the click throughs.

Why does it seem like everyone who joins SFI think it's get-rich-quick?

As a general rule, when dealing with the motivations of people, there really is no answer to the "Why" question. That is because even with all our commonalities we are still all our own unique individuals.
I joined SFI in 2001. I found it doing traffice exchanges. All of the sites that I used to see back then (and I know because I bookmarked them and they are still there in my bookmarks) are gone except SFI. Back then, I was looking for ways to make money fast. One HYIP actually made me some money, then, of course it disappeared and all the people I had told about it were quite upset with me. It was then I set up my Standing Order and let it ride for years, getting a monthly check (small). When that started to get smaller, I thought I needed to go elsewhere. Fortunately, I logged in and discovered all the training and marketing material that SFI provides. The light went on! This is a business! Not a system or a scheme! SFI is growing, and to make money we need to grow our business (not just have a standing order).
The promises are still out there when I check out the traffic exchange sites. If you read the fine print, even the ones promising $10,000 are not really promising that you will get it.
SFI is different! It is a business, with a business model and a plan. While it takes longer, building an income can even be developed without spending money. What I learned is that I can spend a little money and get large results. I don't know of any other online business that has that kind of potential.
I won't get rich, unless I help me team get rich. I think we're on the right track.

I know I should work with the workers, but how many follow-up messages should I send to inactive CSAs/PSAs before giving up on them?

Until your PSA or CSA has been purged because of inactivity, the possibility remains that they could become interested in the SFI business. It only costs us a little time each month or week to send a message pointing out something good about SFI and how they could build an income.
We will have plenty of time to work with the workers.
It doesn't happen very often, but a new active Affiliate is always a good thing!
How much should an SFI affiliate spend on advertising each month?

Of course advertising is important. Advertising is telling your story to others so that they will be interested in what you have to offer. Since you asked about how much you should spend, the answer is simple...what can you afford NOT to spend?
If you don't advertise, nothing will happen. If you advertise well, the advertising will pay for itself. So how much depends on how well you adverise so it will bring results.
The answer is in learning. Between your available budgeted funds and your advertising opportunities will come the amount you should spend.
As you learn what works, it will become clear how much you should spend.
Will you be successful at first? Probably not, but the Wright brothers kept trying to fly until it happened. When they flew for the first time, they new exactly what it takes to fly, and the same is for home much to spend on advertising.
So, only spend what you can afford, but don't be afraid to afford to spend something! And learn what works and what doesn't. Over time, it will pay off!

What should you do if you do not have any communication with your sponsor?

I have never had a response from a message sent to my sponsor, nor have I received a message related to my business from my sponsor. I thought I had a problem until I posted my dismay to the Forum.
All the answers made it clear that this is my business. It was there I started learning that the training and help provided by SFI is absolutely more than enough to help me be successful. One of the SFI text ads values the SFI Training at $295, and I think that value is too low.
Taking the LaunchPad course truly supplies anyone with the SFI basics to success. Some think there is too much information there. That's what the SFI Basics button is for. Get back to the basics, understand the basics, and very soon the LaunchPad is worth it's weight in gold.
Then all you have to do to become an SFI expert is refine your knowledge by reading the information under "Training", "Marketing", and "Leaders" to become aware of the unlimited possibilites for building an economically sustaining business.
So being a good Sponsor is much more important than having a non-communicative Sponsor.

How can I get my downline members to understand SFI and what to do?

By the request of one of my team members, I created a PowerPoint presentation (that I will send out in PDF format) that I will probably start sending to all new Affiliates and also to all who request it.
What I did was suggest that each Affiliate starts out by filling out their Profile and creating their goals. Then I suggested that the first tab to review was the Goals tab, because we have great goals.
After than I did my best to outline the use of VP, talked about the Ranks, the To-Do List and what it takes to build the business....all based on the training from SFI.
I hope to improve on this PowerPoint from feedback and review, but it seems to me like it makes the SFI Basics come alive and points people in the direction that will best help them be successful.
