How do you get your affiliates to approach their SFI business realistically, like a real business, and not some get unrealistic rich quick scheme?

That is a very difficult thing because it is hard to convince grown people to treat a business like a business.
What I have found is that the best way to get the folk to think of it as a business is to show them how it should be treated. I believe that SFI is a wonderful tool and I do my best to show my affiliates how to use this system most effectively.
What do successful Leaders in SFI know and do?

Successful leaders inside of SFI know the same thing that successful leaders outside of SFI know - success is NOT a gift, it's a prize. A gift is something that is given to you - just because. Many people get upset with successful people because they believe that they deserve the same level of success that these others have achieved. For some reason, the general public has this impression that EVERYONE should experience success.
The truth is, success IS a prize. It is not given to anyone, but it is EARNED by the ones that truly want it. It is something that you must work at and be smart. There are many great runners, but only the smart ones that have trained well and are the most prepared are the ones that get the trophy. Should everyone that runs get a trophy - NO! If everyone got it, there would be no reason for anyone to stretch themselves beyond their capacity.
Yearn for the trophy and success is yours!

What's the best way to get more VersaPoints?

One of the ways to get more VP is to purchase more items.
I am not necessarily suggesting that you need to keep spending, spending, spending... what I am saying is that for various small purchases, you get VP for them.
Every time you purchase a new item, you get the ability to make a review. Those reviews are 25 VP's apiece. That means that if you purchase 5 items per month, not only will you be receiving quality items at a great price; not only are you buying from YOUR store; not only are you building your business; but you are also building 125 VP's a month - not to mention the MRP's that you've gained as well...

Recruiting PSAs or ECAs--which will generate the quickest income?

Which generates the "quickest" income is probably NOT the most accurate question, but rather which generates the MOST income in the SHORTEST time?
By recruiting PSA's you are getting workers. You are, in fact, recruiting employees - in a sense. Whenever you get a new PSA, you are potentially getting someone who wants to work and is willing to do whatever they have to do in order to be successful.
When you recruit an ECA, you are recruiting another form of income, but ONLY when they are successful in selling. The truth is, you are ONLY making money when they are; however, with the PSA, you make money when they make money, when they recruit, when they buy, etc.
As you can see, there is the possibility of making money with the ECA for sure, but if you want to make some "continual" money, go with the PSA.

One of my favorite motivational speakers is/was Zig Ziglar. One of the marquee statements that he'd make is, "you can have anything in life you want, if you just help enough people get what they want out of life."
I believe that statement is probably the truest of all statements. You see, when you help people and really care about them, life has a way of allowing you to end up being the receiver of good fortune. I wish I could explain it, but I can't. As a matter of fact, the Good Book tells us that "if we cast our bread on the waters, we will find it in many days." What the wise man is saying is that if you spend your resources and invest in people, you will see a major ROI.
Simply put; give, share, and sacrifice and you will start to see bountiful blessings...

How do you explain the relationship between SFI & TC / PB? That's a fairly easy question to answer; considering that the companies relationship is quite obvious.
SFI is the business model - the marketing group. SFI is the actual "home" company that is being run. SFI is the mind behind the operation. SFI is the success "tool."
So, what about TC? TripleClicks serves as home for the products that we sell. The ONLY way a company stays in business is by selling stuff. TripleClicks provides an area to "sell stuff."
The last is PriceBender. That is the "fun" part of growth in SFI business. The PB auctions are there to give us something that will enhance our current business.

Many people use the IAHBE as simply a resource manual; I believe that it should be used as a club as well. I actually promote IAHBE in my local area as a club. We use the books as our monthly "club" readings. I also enlist individuals who are interested in learning business principles into one of my "clubs" and interact with them via web conferencing.
Basically, IAHBE is a membership into an exclusive club - that is how I market it and my members have REALLY enjoyed the opportunity of bonding and growing together.

One of the things that I have seen that really gets the affiliates that I have active is when I offer them some sort of incentive. The truth is, many of the "newbies" are trying to figure out the benefit of the SFI / TC system and are pretty skeptical upon beginning. If you offer them something for just "trying" they are more willing to try.
The thing that I LOVE about TC is that once you start, it becomes infectious; especially the PB auctions. Give them an incentive when they win their first auction - that's what I do and my affiliates are ALWAYS trying to win an auction, not only for what the thing that they'll win, but also for my incentive...

When it comes to the VersaPoints, I have simply explained to each of my affiliates that the VP's are similar to getting a "promotion" in a traditional job. Just as a promotion puts you into a higher "paygrade," so does the VP in this business. It doesn't mean that you WILL earn more, but it does put you into a better position to be a higher earner.
VP's give you a goal to work towards - it is your "promotion," like I stated earlier. I believe that is the simplest way of explanation...

One of the major benefits of a SO is that it automatically gives me another entry into the Daily Grand. I know many people talk about the ease of the SO, but I just prefer to keep it because it allows me to have the opportunity to have an extra entry.
The other thing about the SO is that it ensures that I will NEVER lose my CSA's that have been acquired through my EA status.
