Gaining maximum support from your sponsor/upline needs ‘it takes two to tangle’ approach, where you will need to position yourself to receive support and your sponsor will be ready and willing to give you the appropriate support. This also means that you need to encourage your sponsor and upline members to provide assistance and support, in order to prepare both of you for mutual cooperation and coordination.

In light of the above, the question will be how do you prepare and position yourself to gain that required support from your upline? Below are some suggestions:

1. Ensure you are learning the nitty-gritty of this business in order to prepare you to ask pertinent questions and request appropriate support. This is one of the ways to show your upline that you are enthusiastic in developing an understanding of this business, which will consequently encourage them to deploy all resources within their capability to support you.

2. You need to do your best to login daily where possible and update yourself with the latest news and updates regarding the operations of SFI/TC. This understanding will help boost your ability to progress and consequently draw the attention of your upline.

3. Upline members appreciate hard working and visible team members, so be productively visible by participating in the forum, Ask SC, chat, a2a etc. These levels of participation will make you more visible to your upline and you may be able to earn their respect and trust, especially if they have a large downline which makes the tracking of all members difficult.

4. Be punctual and seek to earn all available VP you can earn in order to be on your sponsor’s Movers, because some sponsors are more attentive to the Movers in their teams. This is essential because your sponsor may be encouraged to follow your progress and render support accordingly.

5. You need to respond to their messages where needed and necessary, in order to encourage them to pay more attention to you because some may be discouraged by team members who do not reciprocate, one way or the other if required.

6. Again, strive to compete for challenges like the E365 contest, sponsor contests, country and class Leaders board. I am not suggestion you should unnecessarily inconvenience yourself to please anyone, but that your show of strength is helpful to your business success, which will in turn give your upline more motivation to support your efforts as much as possible.

7. You need not be shy or sceptical to always ask them for appropriate support and guidance and do not always wait for them to get to you first. This is particularly helpful because it is mostly you who really knows where your shoe itches, since your upline members are not magicians.

8. It is good business strategy to participate in other relevant forums by which you can relate with your upline like Skype, webinars, local physical meetings, social networks, telephone etc. Please be at alert in case your participation is outside the pursuit of your SFI business and if so, discontinue.

9. Do not put your upline off by asking irrelevant, outrageous, un-business like and unprofessional support. You must always see them as business partners who are willing to guide and support your business, rather than them working your business for you.

10. You should try your best to duplicate the efforts/success of your sponsor and other upline members, by doing for your downline what they are doing for you where you can. This is because it will help you build an active downline which will be productive to both yourself and your upline. The benefit your upline derive from your downline also serve as impetus for their maximum support which you crave.

11. Always develop the habit of saying ‘thank you’ to their efforts and support. You may mistakenly underestimate the power of ‘thank you’ but it motivates and encourages your upline to feel good and do more because appreciation is another sign of conveying satisfaction.

In conclusion, I must add that irrespective of what you do to attract maximum support from members of your upline, some may be unfortunately un-supportive and may not act on these impulses, but will rather remain complacent and develop clay feet, notwithstanding. In this circumstance you need to move on, instead of being discouraged because this is your business and no one is going to make your business terrific but you. So seek other avenues for support like other upline members, forum, Ask SC, a2a etc.

Simply put, residual income is a long term income flow as a result of your activities in your SFI/TC business, so you need to put in a lot of efforts to build a sustainable business, by maximising your capability across various income streams available here at SFI. Among them are:

1. Adopt the ultra 3 step plan:
- Become an Executive Affiliate (EA) and remain an EA every month.
- Recruit five affiliates using the recommended SFI marketing methods.
- Teach your five affiliates to do these same three steps.

This gives you guidance and assistance on how to move from the lowest residual income level to the highest residual income level. This PLAN does not suggest that your residual income is capped at the highest rank (DTL) level; it only demonstrates that you cannot go beyond that point in rank only.

3. Leveraged income means the income you will earn through other people's efforts, so it is important to build an active team in order to maximize your residual income for the long term. Building an active and profitable team requires your continued and sustained guidance, support and you need to encourage duplication across board in order to increase the depth with which you generate income.

4. You need to diversify your portfolio of residual income by not only relying on active downline, but by also recruiting TC members (PRMs) and ECAs. Though you will earn residual income from the purchases of your PRMs, but this is much enhanced if you are able to recruit serious business minded ECAs are willing to entrench their businesses in TC, are enthusiastic and capable of operating successfully for the 'long haul', then you are in the earn long term royalties as well.

There are 6 areas in the SFI Compensation Plan and the TC Executive Pool is one of them. You earn shares in the TC Executive Pool (a share = 1 VP) if you are at least an EA and there are 3 ways to earn from it on a monthly basis;

1. Personal VP for the current month

This means if you are at least an EA, each VP you earn gives you 1 share of the Exec Pool. The $$ value of a share fluctuates depending on the number of VP sharing from it and TC sales in that month, but with my experience it typically ranges from $0.00039 to $0.0005, so the lesser number of VP that share from it, the higher $$ you make from it, but lower TC sales will negatively impact your earnings also.

2. 10% Fast Track Bonus (FTB) shares

3. VP Match

This implies even bigger earnings from the Pool if you are a team leader. It means you receive a matching VP from each VP your PSAs, who are at least EA2 in your Generation 1 up to 12 receive, depending on your team leader rank; the higher the deeper (to a max of Gen 12) including your CSAs who are at least EA2. 4. Target your visitors from specific niche, rather than the world at large in order to increase conversation rate. The greatest investment required in an online income opportunity business like SFI is TIME, so it beats my imagination how someone will want to do this without having time. Money is not all it takes to successfully build a business in SFI because there are several areas where personal attention is needed.

For example you may want to build a team, guide and assist team members or do advertisements, read useful materials on SFI website to up your skills and news update in order to be up to date with current developments in SFI. So how will you go about this without having the time or why do you think 2 people with the same financial resources invest in the same type of business, but where one succeeds and the other fails? You can see that money alone does not bring success.

However, for somebody without the time I will be frank with him to say I will not have much to help with as it may mean my doing the job for him which is senseless and again you as the sponsor may have difficulty assisting him as he may not have the time to read your messages or interact with you on any other platform. In any case, as a sponsor I will not advise you to be redundant or hopeless in the situation because you can still assist in some ways like?

1. Help him to be very active in the SFIPPA programme which will not require much of his time and seize any available opportunity to guide him on how.

2. Ask him to elect a beneficiary who will have time where possible e.g. wife, child, sister, brother to run the affairs on his behalf.

3. Encourage him to crave his indulgence for some while to build a team of very few active PSA (3-5) and use the reassignment tool to place other incoming PSAs under them and assist him in this regard, on advertising and co-opting strategy. You should try to device other means to reach him for this guidance where appropriate.

4. You can also guide and assist him to use the influence of his money to do sales at TC on a big scale where he can earn commission and VP.
5. Very important to guide him on setting up his own website to promote his SFI/TC business and to use appropriate auto responder tools to make up for his lack of time.

6. You can also assist by reassigning some of your active PSAs to his downline in order to beef up his Team Support AVP because standing order alone may not get him to the point where he will earn from VP Match.

7. You can mostly help in guiding his own team which is from your Gen 2 downwards by direct communication with them because he will be successful if his team is.
Note that I did not specifically mention standing order as a line item above, but it may be necessary when necessary, that is where some of the income he may potentially earn is threatened by his lack of upward mobility (rank).

To conclude, one must realise that you cannot put an online income business like SFI on a complete autopilot with financial investment, in fact it makes no sense anyway, so at some point it will be inevitable to invest a reasonable time in it even when you think you are seeing success, because success itself is just a journey and not a destination.

Let your affiliates know that it is important to grasp all VP within their reach because they play important role in their businesses; either in determining their ranks or/and their shares in the TC Executive Pool. This is as important as little drops of water, so they may be surprised as to the negative effect the absence of 1 VP is at the end of the month and ignoring them will be at their own peril.

Again, get your affiliates to understand that they should see the daily action VP for its total monthly contribution of about 372 VP which is much as far as this business is concerned, instead of viewing it from the stand point of just 12 VP. Unless you have other credible sources of earning other action VP otherwise, it could portend a business set back.

Another very important reason to get your affiliates to understand the importance is that they also provide a credible source of knowledge. This is because the To-Do-List contains very useful information on sponsoring, TC sales and ECA recruitment, so by not just clicking away the point but learning by reading some of the information contained therein is to their advantage too.

Let them also know that grabbing the daily action VP is like a preparatory or a warm up phase to opening and start working on their businesses on a daily basis, even if they think they don't need the VP. Getting used to doing the daily action will be an impetus to visit their SFI businesses on a daily basis in order to do one or two things for the benefit of business.

In addition, make them understand that if they do not earn at least 10 VP daily, then they stand to lose their Daily Streak Badge, which is very important for duplication purposes. Furthermore, they will also miss out of the prestigious E365 Finalist draw (for those still in it) where they will be in the run to win various prizes, if they don't earn at least 10 VP daily.

As you can see, tell your affiliates that they have nothing to lose by taking their daily action points seriously, because they provide some additional benefits.

Convincing a prospective ECA that TripleClicks (TC) can be great for local sales may be more effective if you based your prospecting locally. This is because your knowledge of TC and your understanding of the dynamics of the local area will give your more ammunition to make your case.

In any prospecting endeavour, including for ECA, what you need to sell are the benefits so let your prospective ECA know the following:

1. The approximate number of TC members and SFI affiliates who reside in or are in close proximity to the locality, which are a significant part of his/her customer base.

2. Another important point to make is that these members and affiliates will likely reciprocate the local presence by helping to promote the products because they may have some understanding of the local environment and may want to take advantage also.

3. You should display a vast knowledge of the operations of TC and the locality to the prospective ECA. This is important in order to be taken seriously because you are going to present yourself as somebody who will be there to render assistance and provide guidance that are pertinent to setting up a locally based successful ECA store.

4. See something in the attractiveness of your prospective ECA's products that affiliates and members will like and point these out to your prospect. Let your prospect know that there are locally based affiliates and members who have difficulties getting these products internationally, so will be happy if they can source same locally.

5, Let the prospect know that there is a 'will call' option, in order to reassure the prospect that he/she may not necessarily need to ship all sales; meaning buyers will come and pick up purchases from the ECA store directly.

6. You have to also reassure the prospective ECA that several affiliates have payment option problem and this is one area he/she can exploit as he/she can participate in the Local Pay program, in order to increase potential customer base.

7. You may need to demonstrate to your prospect testimonials of other ECAs that have successfully carried out a locally targeted ECA store.

8. Do not be too casual in your appearance and attitude, be professional and display a high level of integrity, but be sociable.

9. People like sellers who are straight with them, so be ready to talk about the 15% charge on any sales and explain why.

You need to also realise that some may be very skeptical to associate their business with any online organisation, so your first duty may be to convince your prospective ECAs of the benefits of opening an online store and why TC is an attractive place to do that, before you go Local.

There is actually no one best marketing aid to use because all of them are important depending on your objectives and the goal for achieving them. Again some of these aids are complementary, so a proper deployment of a set aids, instead of one supposedly 'best' aid may be a better strategy.

Having said this, there are basically 2 sets of marketing aids; TC sales and signups (PSAs, ECAs and PRMs), as such different aids work for different people depending on what you set out to do but personally, let me share some that have worked for me in order of success;

1. The e-cards at SFI Marketing Centre are very effective aids: https://www.sfimg.com/Resources/MarketingCenter?pg=1&form=MarketingAids&category=&type=E-card&free=&shape=&color=&size=&language=&theme=&currency=&favorite=0

These aids are better used within your warm market or your mailing list but ensure you avoid spamming. There are several ones for SFI prospects and another for TC, so just choose the one you prefer and make it a duty to send a particular number of e-cards on a daily basis. I base the effectiveness of these e-cards on the presumption that they are attractive and like greeting cards they appear unique, very friendly, warm and not so easy to overlook.

2. I have also found text ads very useful if properly applied; you can use some of them as signatures in your email messages, forum (not SFI) contributions, letters etc. the extent to which this is effective is determine by the power of the content to which they are appended as signature, so very short ad text may be proper for this purpose. Again beware of spamming!

3. Another aid is the Flyer; these are very mobile and you can physically place them at a place relevant to your target audience. The major advantage of this is that you can determine in advance the segment of the population that will likely see these Flyers because you have control over the distribution.

This list is by no means exhaustive but they represent the top 3 that have worked best for me, from the various ones I have tried, so it is my hope they work for you also.

As a new affiliate without marketing experience, I will suggest you start as follows:

1. Click on the START grey colour button beneath your photo at the affiliate centre where you will have the opportunity to hear a video message from SFI President himself. This video gives you an overview of what this business is about and how to get started as the tab implies. It directs you to where you get information about SFI Basics (3-step-plan), sponsoring and sales methods, which represent an overview of what we do here as affiliates.

2. The Getting Started and Intermediate sections of your VP Ledger also contain important and useful information that will help you to understand this business more, so just be going through them in your stride, please do not rush or attempt to digest everything in a go, otherwise you will be overwhelmed with too much information which will be counter-productive.

3. Also ensure you read your 30 Launch Pads and you may opt to read one daily. You see, your first one month in SFI is supposed to be for training and this explains one of the reasons we have 30 Launch Pads. This means you may not be expected to do any much apart from reading and learning, so that you get off to a credible start afterwards.

4. If you feel comfortable at any stage of your training and you want to put in action some of what you have read, then it is cool also provided you will be determined and resilient in case they do not provide the desired results.
