Here is my answer to your question about how to provide the best and correct answer to questions from your team members.

First, as a Team Leader, I consider it very important to focus on providing correct information. When I answer questions from team members, even if I "think" I know the right answer, I always do some research in the SFI Affiliate Center to confirm that the answer is accurate and correct. This is very important.

1) Almost every answer we need can be found somewhere in the Affiliate Center. As a Team Leader, I consider it my responsibility to find and learn the correct answers to things. It is simply not good enough to tell a team member to look in the Affiliate Center for the answer. We should find the answer for them, and:

a) Tell them the answer to their question;

b) Tell them where in the Affiliate Center it can be found (so they can look it up themselves);

c) Ask them if it answers their question, or if they need further clarification.

2) I will admit that there are a few questions where direct answers cannot be found in the Affiliate Center. In those cases, I look to the SFI Forum and the ASK SC section for possible answers.

3) If I still cannot find a suitable answer, then I will submit an SFI support ticket to try to get the proper, authoritative answer.

As Team Leaders, it is very important that we, ourselves, know how to find answers and actually make the effort to find the answers to any and all questions put to us by our team members. It makes us stronger and makes our team stronger.

You have asked what is the best way to become a Team Leader. This answer is probably not exactly what you were expecting, but here goes!

The best way to become a Team Leader is:

1. Lead by example: Set up Standing Orders so you automatically become an EA each month; visit the Affiliate Center DAILY and do every task possible to earn VersaPoints (VP); market SFI and TripleClicks aggressively; communicate with your team members regularly.

2. Recruit (and train) Leaders! Remember, as an EA2 or Team Leader yourself, you earn 100 VP per month for each Personally Sponsored Affiliate who achieves and maintains EA2 status. Train up just 10 EA2s and you've got 1,000 Action VP a month right there!

So ... if you earn 2,000 Sales VP per month and 1,000 Action VP a month, that makes you a Bronze Team Leader. Then you can work towards Silver!

That's the best way to become a Team Leader: First, maximize your Sales VP; and second, recruit leaders who become EA2s so you can easily earn the Action VP you need.

I tried hard to win the E365 Championship in my class, but I did not succeed. I was doing well until towards the final few months, and then another competitor came out of nowhere and blew me out of the water! LOL (I congratulate that person for their achievement: they deserve the title.)

Here is my recommendation to you and to any affiliates making their run for the E365 championship:

1. Set up at least one monthly Standing Order for at least 1,500 VersaPoints (VP) to maintain your Executive Affiliate (EA) status each month. Personally, I have standing orders for the IAHBE, TCredits and the S-Builder Co-op, plus I make other TripleClicks purchases through the month.

2. Visit the SFI Affiliate Center daily and check and double-check for every possible free VP you can earn daily, weekly and monthly. Make this a DAILY priority.

3. Spend time every day (or every week, at least) doing anything and EVERYthing you can to recruit new SFI affiliates. Use free and paid advertising; blog and write articles; purchase guaranteed SFI sign-ups from TripleClicks ECAs; be determined to win PSAs, CSAs and S-Builder units in the Pricebenders auctions; be active as a contributing member on your favourite Social Media sites. Do ALL of these without fail.

4. Spend time every day (or every week, at least) doing everything you can to sign up new PRMs (personally referred members) at TripleClicks. (Remember, not only do you earn direct sales commissions on their purchases, but you receive ALL of the VP from their purchases.)

5. Develop a plan for regularly contacting and recruiting potential E-Commerce Associates into the ECA program at TripleClicks. Not only will you earn 10% of the commission volume (CV) for each item they sell (for life!), but you also get 100 VP when a new ECA lists their first product. Additionally, if you promote their items and you make a sale, then your commission on the sale jumps up to 55%!

6. Be an Awesome Sponsor! Make it a regular practice to watch what your PSAs and CSAs are doing and offer them information, guidance, encouragement and praise. The better they get at the business, the more you will benefit. The more success your team members have, the more monthly commissions you will earn, and not only will this encourage and motivate YOU to work even harder, but it will give you more income to invest back into your SFI business. During your E365 run, this can make a huge difference to your success in winning the championship.

If you are going to reassign a PSA, then I think it is a great idea to reassign them to someone in their own country!

If you do that, it reduces the risk of communication issues and gives them a greater sense of the SFI opportunity being "real". It shows them that they are not alone in their country and not alone in the SFI business.

If it is someone in their own community, or within visiting distance, all the better! There can be great power in teamwork and developing a mastermind group.

Before you re-assign your PSA, I recommend that you take the time to explain to them why you are doing it and what the advantages are to them. You don't want them thinking you are giving them away because you don't like them or don't appreciate them. You want them to understand that you are doing it to try to give them more support and a better chance at success.

Also, get their opinion about the person you want to re-assign them to. You want to make sure all parties understand what is happening, and why. Contact the new sponsor, too, to make sure they are happy with the re-assignment. (Who wouldn't be? lol)

As long as they are responsive to your messages, you should stay in regular contact with your Sponsor and Co-Sponsor. This will let them know that you are serious about becoming successful with SFI.

I recommend either sending them a weekly message with updates on what you are doing, or, if they send you regular team messages, be sure to respond and acknowledge those messages with appreciation.

It is good to contact your Sponsor or Co-Sponsor with questions or concerns you may have, but also make it a habit to first do some research on your own; you might be able to find the answers on your own and this will give you a greater sense of power, confidence and competence. Look for answers in the Affiliate Center, in the Ask SC section, and in the SFI Forum. And remember, you will eventually have your own team members coming to you for answers, so the more you learn about the business, the better equipped you will be to help your team members.

If your Sponsor or Co-Sponsor do not respond to your questions or communications, you may want to look elsewhere in your SFI upline for a supportive mentor.

My first response is that there is no preferred age category for SFI. It is a great income opportunity for people of all ages and for a person who has not yet started to build a second income, the best time to start is right now.

However, your question is focused on people 50 and upwards, so here is a short answer to a very good question:

First of all, it must be pointed out to them that their retirement years are approaching and it is best not to wait too long before getting the ball rolling on a second income opportunity. (In other words, time is running out and the sooner you start, the better.)

Second, point out that for many people, as they get older their energy levels can drop and their health issues can rise, so once again, it is far better to start now to build a second income than to wait until your strength or health interferes.

Third, their circles of influence (family, friends, work associates, community contacts, etc.) are probably at their peak around the age of 50, so that is the best time for them to be able to contact and influence people to either become a TripleClicks member or an SFI affiliate. Younger people may not know as many people or have the same level of experience or confidence. And once you achieve retirement age, your circles and your influence can begin to diminish. So, around fifty is the ideal time.

Should you advise your new PSAs to slow down and not qualify as Team Leaders so quickly?

That's a tough question, Sandra, because every new affiliate is different, with different skills, different goals and different insight and understanding of the purpose and benefit of the SFI ranking system.

I wouldn't discourage a new PSA from charging full speed ahead, but I would definitely encourage them to FIRST get a full understanding of the SFI compensation plan and ranking system. It's not like other plans, and we don't want them making decisions and taking action based on incorrect assumptions.

Just how we educate them properly and effectively is a challenge, though, because there is just so much to learn and only so much you can take in at a time.

I think communication is the key. We should follow a standard, step-by-step learning program for new PSAs, rather than everybody giving THEIR new PSAs different priorities to focus on based on their own interests or perspective.

- We need them to understand what VersaPoints are, what the purpose and value of VP is, and how it relates to their Team Leader achievement levels.

- We need them to understand the various ways to earn income with SFI and what role Sales VP and Action VP play in it all.

- We need them to fully understand that the advanced Team Leader levels are dependent not just on accumulating personal VP, but on actually building a team with members who are earning VP monthly.

- And we need them to understand that it is very likely that the majority of people they recruit will NOT be business-builders like they are, so it may take more time than they expect to build a strong enough team to effectively maintain the advanced Team Leader levels.

However . . . that's a LOT of info to take in all at once, and since it's all new to them, they may not fully understand it and get all the connections! Where do we start?

That is the challenge we all face with our new PSAs: Communication; Understanding; Effective Planning
