Great question! I believe that my best tip would be to add value to what SFI already provides. Even though SFI is an outstanding program we as leaders can do our part to make it better. Offer promotions, send content e-mails that simply educate, reward for achievements. All of these add value and also build trust. Recognize those who are active.

Never stop thinking of new ways to add value and never give up on an inactive affiliate. They may not respond to what you send but that does not mean they are not reading and paying attention. And whether you realize it or not you are building trust for those who are reading your posts. You are demonstrating that you are not just a fad that will abandon them with the least amount of provocation of difficulty.

Hi David,

I recommend using the Team Mail to reach out to your team as well as the e-cards. Also keep posting on your stream and in the forums. Make yourself visible so when they log in they can find you when they want or need you. Chat is also a great way to communicate.

Another thing I recommend is looking at the VP ledger for those who are active. See what they are clicking on and where they focus their attention. Offer tips if you see opportunities for them to gain extra VP or learning opportunities.

I know it can be a challenge but keep brainstorming ways to keep yourself available and those who are interested and see value will appreciate that you are available for them.

I would focus on advertising specifically for the United States only when promoting Privacy Maxx. Hello! Great question! I have found in life that if people understand "why" they are doing something then it is easier for them to be committed to doing it. Gery Carson is an expert at marketing and building a business and also in understanding what it takes for each of us to be successful. And guess what? Action is one of those things!

Taking action towards building our business every day is vital to the success of our business. This is why it is key for us to earn Action Versa Points. By taking action we are being rewarded but we are also learning and establishing habits that will lead us to success. The only way to be successful in our business is by investing in it. Action is an investment of time and it is essential for reaching our potential and achieving success.

I would explain this to your affiliates (and repeat it in different ways and as often as necessary) so that they can understand. Educate for understanding. Then the affiliate can make their own decision but at least they understand why it is so important.

Hi Monika,

While I am no expert I am creating a marketing plan based on my interpretation of the advice and suggestions that Gery has offered us in the pages of this website. So here are my suggestions:
1. Diversify - use different marketing strategies not just one. I am using a combination of purchasing both PSAs and S-Coop Builder as well as personal marketing for ECAs, Triple Clicks and sponsoring affiliates. I am also working on creating a website so I can blog.
2. Consistency - create a plan that allows you to take action every day. This is important in creating forward momentum. Always move forward.
3. Stick-to-it-iveness (I am not sure if this is a real word but that is what I call it). Very simply put it means do not give up. Keep going no matter what. The only thing that guarantees your business failing is giving up on it.
4. Live your business - This is not a whim and is not temporary. It needs to be your way of life. Take your business seriously and talk about your business the same way that other business owners do.
5. Think of your downline like your employees. As their leader it is your job to support them and guide them to success. Think of success as a team sport.

Last but not least (and most important) .... BELIEVE! Believing you can be successful will help you to take the steps necessary to create a successful business.

I think it is less about what you are saying and more about the fact that you are reaching out to your affiliates. That you are taking a personal interest I believe will come across loud and clear. I do not think that eloquence or the ability to articulate well through words is the major concern but more the action of taking the time to make it personal to your team. A little personal touch can go a long way!

Because SFI is an international company we may experience a variety of languages in our downlines. Again, the personal touch is what is most important. I also think that keeping it simple so that translation is easier can go farther than sending long messages that are difficult to decipher or that lose their meaning in the translation. My thoughts are simple communication often with a tincture of the personal touch is the way to go. This is just my two cents worth though.

I think you pose a great question here. The idea that an affiliate would suggest that action is a waste of time is an indication to us that this affiliate does not understand the potential of action. Action is a key step in moving forward (as opposed to being idle and accomplishing nothing), building momentum and advancing towards our goals, whatever they are. Without action we cannot succeed. I think it is important to understand the importance behind why we are coached to take action every day. It is so much more than just earning VP for each action, it is that we are creating a habit of working towards our business and our goals. IF we are not dedicated to success we will not succeed.

As SFI affiliates we are so blessed to have the wisdom and leadership of Gery Carson who understands the need for taking action towards our business every day (and hence the "Goals" tab) and coaches us in a direction of developing habits that will reward us with success. In his "SFI Rules of Success", rule # 8 states:

"It's ABSURD to think you can succeed in SFI if you're not visiting the SFI Affiliate Center at least once a day and reading the latest information and updates. EVERY DAY, at the very least, you should be checking all of the tabs on your SFI homepage (Alerts, Tips, To-Do List, TripleClicks, Ask SC, Scoreboard, etc.). You should also be reading the latests posts on the SFI Forum. If you're not reading all or most of these things, you are clearly NOT serious about SFI and you will therefore not succeed."

I would ask this affiliate what his or her goals are and then query a bit more on how they plan to achieve those goals. Once you have an understanding of where their mindset is at and what their thinking is at, the opportunity to begin to integrate into the discussion some of Gery's proven methods for success .... with action being on the top of the list will present itself.

I understand what you mean regarding messages getting "stale". I have a terrible habit of proofreading and then editing my work so I find that I am tweaking my letters fairly often. I think that brainstorming and learning from others is a great gift that we are offered here at SFI.

I think that having a good sponsor/ co-sponsor is very important! Not only does a good sponsor provide you the support and encouragement to keep going but it also role models the SFI way. Good sponsors can help by offering encouragement, tips, suggestions, tools, information on what has worked or is working for them. They can also make the program more personal by letting you know that you are a part of their team, which is one of the foundations of the SFI program.

Each and every affiliate/member is blessed though because SFI is a great sponsor! The support and encouragement offered within the pages of this website are invaluable! I am convinced that everything a member needs is contained within these pages and that this program is designed and developed so that every affiliate will have all the support they both need and want.
