The most important thing for any new affiliate to do is to review the 3 colored links in the upper right of the affiliate center. The first one is grey - START. There is a video with Gery Carson himself doing the teaching. I believe it is so crucial not to fly through this page. It clears up a lot of the confusion about doing this type of business. The ultra simplified 3 steps to DTL are here! Did you understand that? If you follow the information discussed here you can become a DTL. It all starts with you maintaining EA which becomes EA2. Then you need to sponsor other team members(5) who follow in your footsteps to maintain EA2. Finally they should do what you do down to 12 generations.

The second link is highlighted in blue - SFI BASICS. This link just reinforces what Mr. Carson taught in a bit more detail. It covers how you are going to sponsor SFI affiliates, refer TripleClicks members, and duplicate your efforts through 12 generations. Again, I believe too many affiliates fly through this information and get lost in the shuffle of information. They wind up searching in the forum for answers when everything is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Take your time. Study the information first and then if you have questions don't forget to reach out to your sponsor. The forum is filled with knowledgeable affiliates from around the world so if your sponsor happens to be off duty use the forum to get you going in the right direction and connect with your sponsor when they are available.

Finally, the last link is green - LAUNCHPAD. Green means go! So get busy learning from each day's lesson about SFI. Once again, I believe too many affiliates just click through to earn versa points instead of learning the material presented. There are 30 days worth of training and you may complete it at your own pace. When you feel that you have all of this information down, then you need to execute what you learn. You can't expect quality results without proper action.

Write a plan that will show you clearly how to achieve your goals. Don't become a clickaholic. You need to absorb the material and give your mind time to formulate a plan that will fit into your budget. You will need a budget for advertising. If you have no money then your plan should include a way for you to have some money to invest into your business. Don't forget to ask your sponsor to help you come up with a plan if you need help. When your sponsor offers recommendations follow them and double check with your upline to see if you are on the right track. If you do all that I've mentioned here, you will be ahead of the curb by a long shot.

You can reassure your affiliates and affirm correct actions taken. Everyone likes a pat on the back. So, send out those kudos and smileys and give your PSAs the confidence that they need. When they have a question just let them know that you will do the research and get back with them asap. Explain to them exactly how you found the answer so they can in turn mentor their affiliates. Honest is not only the best policy it is the only policy.

I say variety is the spice of life and you should try your hand at all of the Eager Zebra games. That said, you may be better at some than at others. Skype is a formidable tool that you can use to do conference calls with your team but it does have limitation. You can have so many members on at a time as a free member but even with a professional skype membership, it has limitation. Any medium that allows for dialog is a good one. You can past on tips and answer questions. Start with a free account then as your needs grow you might consider the premium skype membership.

Youtube is very effective as well but you must make very good training videos. You want your videos to be shot with a camera on a stand so that the picture is not so shaky which can distract away from your message. As with any advertising the key to your success is frequency, consistency, and tracking. Always track for improvement. Videos are good for demonstrating how to do certain task. They can be paused and reviewed as many times over. This is quite useful since most users will need to review pertinent information.

The best use of 100 dollars invested into ones SFI business would be to produce quality affiliates and generate sales. So what I do is invest part of my budget in gift certificates to reward my workers and encourage network sales. The rest of my budget goes into sponsoring new affiliates not just in my 1st generation but also subsequent generations.

Growing your network is one of the single most important objectives of your SFI business for reasons that should be obvious. The larger your active network, the bigger your commissions. Since TL qualification milestones are achieved by mentoring and encouraging your affiliates, investing in the growth of subsequent generations is paramount. Do not forget that support is also providing the necessary information to your network. You can use some of your budget to improve your knowledge so that you can better assist your affiliates.

If your advertising is not providing you satisfactory results, then there are a few factors that you need to consider.

1. How frequent are you advertising? Are you using just free ads 1 time per day or are you using 10 free ads everyday?

2. How consistent are you with your advertising? Are you just promoting by the seat of your pants when you find the time or do you have a schedule that you have been following for at least 30 days consistently?

3. Is your advertising scalable? Can you increase your exposure without any added costs? Instead of using 10 free sites how about using 20 sites?

No matter what kind of ad you run, it will take some time to get measurable results. Tracking is important and timing is critical. So don't expect to just send a few hundred email promos and get sign ups. It will most likely not happen.

So the key to advertising is to track your results for improvement and make sure that you are doing everything that you can to maximize your advertising dollars and efforts. Then, if you find that your ad is not satisfactory, go back to the drawing board. You have the first hand knowledge to solve the problem of that all of your prospects face - a reliable means earning additional income with low or no upfront cost or out of pocket expense. You should do all of the aforementioned advertising. Be the expert. Know your product and be clear about expectations. This is definitely the way to do business not just offline but online as well.
