When I read your question it was probably the first time I realised that the A2A friends could actually be of help to me to build my SFI business. Thanks a lot for pointing that out to me...

Thinking out loud, perhaps the a2a facility not only helps broaden our understanding and knowledge of SFI - as a2a are always posting ideas and recommendations for us to read and learn from - but they can also 'connect with our t-connect page' and see what items we have for sale. Or see which ECA's we are supporting and then link through to them - thus allowing us to gain and build our SFI business.

I hope this helps you in your endeavours with SFI.

Nice question. I personally believe that if possible, its much more fruitful to participate in both W3 and S-Builder Co-op.

However, if you are currently short of funds, then of course the W3 option is the cheaper one, and its a 'one-off' payment of only $1.99.

But, if you can afford it, I would recommend you also buy a share or two of S-Builder Co-op - as that is one of the best methods to gain new Affiliates and give you a better chance to 'duplicate'.

Good question.
My thinking is that it is probably easier for a 'beginner' to start with
Wave3 Membership, and once reaching EA level,
perhaps purchase PSA's using his TCs which he will have when
making a S.O. for 125 TC - and those valuable 1,500 VP to achieve and maintain EA status?

That's a very interesting question you pose...

My thinking is that all of us have our own specific reason for joining SFI, and some will be wanting a short to medium term income, and others will be looking for a long term income from their SFI business venture.

So really, it may well be not that relevant for us, as a Leader, to try to tell our Affiliates what Long-Term goals they need to set. That is really up to them, and them alone!

However, although the SFI system provides lots of guidance for all of us on 'Goal setting' I would only give guidance to an Affiliate if he/she specifically sought my advice..... and that will be ' just make sure your short term goals are stepping stones towards your long-term goals'.....

I've read quite a few of the answers sofar, and it appears that the majority of them point you in the direction of the
(a) Sponsor, or the (b) co-sponsor.

If, neither of these helps you, (or proves suitable for your style), then some suggest for you to look at the FORUM, or even using A2A friends etc..... or the 'upline sponsors'...

My personal view is that ASK SC tab provides endless questions, and hundreds of answers - all from experienced and knowledgeable Affiliates.
(I've found that source of knowledge - very helpful to gain more understanding of the SFI system)....

In fact, SFI is full of information just waiting to be studied, at your own pace
and whenever you have the time..... (that to me could be the type of mentoring you need). !
Good luck whichever choice you make....
I recommend you - Read, Read, and read (Gery's Rules for Success being the first one to study) and then, read some more...... and see you at the top !

I find your question a little bewildering...

Surely, when you decided to join SFI you were looking for some benefits?
i.e. extra income ! Otherwise why would you have joined, other than to perhaps gain a new skill in the art of internet affiliate marketing?

I can only tell you why I joined and what benefits I am looking for.

Number one benefit is that 'extra income' in time - maybe a year or so - to help me with retirement income....
BUT, I have now gained even better benefits because SFI is like a 'global family', and there are many friendly people in our group who always willing to onpass their wisdom and knowledge. There is a wealth of benefit in that alone.

I also have the benefit to 'sell off' all my goods and items that I no longer need or require - and earn some income. Besides this, I can bid at the Price benders Auctions for new items I need or want, at a fraction of their commercial cost.

There are many more benefits - that SFI has to offer. You just have to find which ones are for you.

I hope my few thoughts will help and guide you to find out what benefits you seek in life in general, and with SFI in particular.

(2) Fail to follow the Launch pad questions with total concentration, so that they duly go to FAST TRACK, and keep in the E365 competition.
(3) Fail to read Gery Carson's RULES TO SUCCESS.

(4) Try to 'run' before they can 'walk'. ../
eg. first read and study all the training programmes before rushing into snap decision making on buying a S.O.

That's my views, and hope they help you.

In my limited experience with SFI, I have started to tell any new 'PSA or CSA' (from day one), that I win, buy, or get allocated by S-Builder etc, that SFI is not a 'get-rich-quick-scheme', but a methodical process of building a business, slowly, but surely.

Like any business, no one should really expect profits in the first year or sometimes even two, but fortunately with SFI, we do not have those 'high overheads & costs' of running an office, with staff, and all those other expenses!
We do not even have to get in the car and drive to the office !!
What a pleasure.

So, its not worth misleading any of your affiliates, or prospective affiliates by telling them they can 'get rich quick'. !!

What an interesting and thought provoking question you pose:

A lot has been written by now by many more experienced and knowledgeable Affiliates than myself, but it has got me deeply thinking. Here is what I have come up with:

(1) First and foremost, the 'personal characteristics' needed must include:

** a deep desire and need to succeed . which is focused, like a passion at what you are doing within the SFI sphere of business.

** determination, discipline and a doggedness are also key characteristics I can suggest. (daily logging-in is a key component to success with SFI - and this will need a certain amount of your discipline and determination).

** the ability to 'interact' and befriend fellow Affiliates, to build your A2A network, plus the interest and enjoyment to recruit new PSA's and ECA's to strengthen and build towards your eventual success with SFI. Duplication is KEY to succeeding in SFI, so a constant flow of new Affiliates will be needed, bearing in mind that only one out of a hundred may turn out to be a 'gem'.

(2) Secondly, as to the Skills. Well, I think a few are:-

** the basic computer skills, in order to take advantage of all the training programmes and marketing tools within the SFI business modules.
** the ability to communicate by email and other internet systems, like Face Book and Twitter., as these will help in the marketing of your SFI business.
** being able to 'organise and plan', will help, although the SFI Basics are really excellent in providing the platform for this.
** a creating flair will be an advantage, to find more Affiliates in the right places, and to help 'duplicate'.
** to be able to put into practise all the teachings from SFI training etc, will certainly be an important skill to have.

No doubt there are many more, but herewith a few which I hope will help.

For me, if I could start over, I would
(1) Take more time to read through and think more on the LAUNCHPAD lessons.
1.1. I completely missed the FAST TRACK opportunity, and the E365 Competition, so each day I am reminded that I am no longer a participant!
(2) Take more heed of Gery Carson's SFI RULES OF SUCCESS. As there in lies the KEY to Successful use of SFI training.
(3) Avoid using up all my TCredits - from my 125 TC Standing Order, on the Auctions... as I persisted for many months without any success whatsoever.
3.1. Instead, I would have started earlier BUYING new PSA's from TripleClicks ECA's as I do now. Realising only after about 7 or more months that DUPLICATION is the KEY, and one of the major 'income streams' that SFI provides.

Now I am investing monthly in my S.O., for 1,500 VP to retain EA2 status, and buying a steady stream of new PSA's in order to promote duplication.
