What are the best methods for recruiting new affiliates via social media?

Most Social Media (Facebook, Linkedin, Google+ etc) have groups you can join or form your own group.
Sharing your business, your successes, your ideas within the groups is a great way to find
people who are looking for the right opportunity to join. This is a good way to get your
message out without spending money. Free Advertising.
I am currently a member of about 110 Facebook groups. I know other marketers who are members of 600
groups and more. Personally I don't have the time to post in 600 groups.
One more thing, for more ideas on using Social Media, go to YouTube and search for video training
on the subject.

When someone asks you why they should join SFI, what do you say?

Great question. I believe that before you begin telling people about SFI, it is very important that you know clearly why you are doing the business. In Network Marketing we call this your "Why". If you know why you want to build a Home Based Business then I recommend you tell people your reasons. Often other people have the same desire you have - to get out of debt, quit their job and make money from home, travel or retire early etc.
I tell people this is not the usual MLM type opportunity - that SFI is different. Many people have been turned off by MLM schemes. Many people are like me and they don't want to make phone calls to people they don't know, get on long webinars, do home parties and product demos. Most people have gone to friends and family too often already and are not wanting to do that anymore.
That's where SFI is different. Everything can be done on the internet and you are truly the owner of your own business. Think of TripleClicks as your product catalogue and product warehouse. So there is no inventory you need to keep.
Then the big one - Most online opportunities require large up-front purchases to join, and most have an annual membership fee that is required to become an affiliate. We have none of that with SFI.
So, be committed to why you are doing the SFI business, develop a personal story that is true,
and tell your story. There is no sense in trying to persuade people to join. Help the people who have a need and will work.

How can I support and motivate my team members without demanding too much or turning them off?

I noticed on word in your question that I recommend you think about. The word is "demanding". In this business people are here because they have a desire to own a business of their own. They are not looking for a boss. A better approach would be to think in terms of suggesting to them what they might do to increase their income, sponsor more PSAs, or earn more VP.
When I am preparing a communication to my genealogy list, I try to put myself in their place. What kind of help do they need? Are they not understanding how SFI works? What should I recommend that may help them get started again? I recommend they check out the "Tips" tab and read the tips found there.
Personally, the "Tips" tab is one of my favorite places to find suggestions that help me in building my SFI business. Hope this helps.

How can I get my affiliates active with TripleClicks?

Getting affiliates active in Triple Clicks is a matter of sharing with them what you are doing, recommend products you purchase and promote their benefits.
I like Nutritional supplements and so I recommend the products I like and how I benefit from using them. I also like the reasonable prices which are much lower than the typical MLM prices.
So basically, become active in your own way, using products and sharing your why, get
into pricebenders and let your team know when you win and and how much you saved, sign up some ECAs and let your team know how you did it, etc. I think you get the message.
In SFI your people will follow you.

There is nothing like leading by example. Being consistent and working your business daily is the very best way to teach. Your downline can see the badges you have earned. Let them see you are working daily by earning your VP and showing your streak. When your activities are hit and miss your downline will not see the importance of daily activity.

I think the best way to get conversation started is to offer specific help - that is, if your have been having success in a particular area ( Recruiting, TC sales, particular marketing medium)offer to share that information with anyone who asks for it. I have found that people who are struggling with a certain part will request the info.
For myself, I am here to create a life-changing income and a solid long-term business.
Many others are wanting the same thing. Those are the people I want to help, and generally those are the people who will respond, and with whom I can start a conversation, usually via Email.

What are the best ways to use the MY MOVERS tab to maximize your SFI business?

I suggest two ways you could use your Movers in your business.
1.- Be great at congratulating your movers every time they become EA, BTL, etc and be their best cheerleader. Let them know you are there to support them.
2.- Try something I did that was a great surprise for me. I went to my Genealogy Report and used the my movers filter. I was surprised to find a large list of people who were earning VP and were maybe "hit and miss" in working their business. So I was able to challenge them and offer my support.
Also, I saw this as an opportunity to offer a reward for becoming EA.

Is cold calling, using a local telephone directory, a good method for attracting new PSAs?

If you are good at Cold Calling there certainly is no reason why you should not do it. In other businesses I have used Cold Calling right from the Telephone Book to set up sales appointments with good success. Your approach will be very important. Your first few words will determine if the person you called will listen to what you have o say or hang up on you. Plan your approach carefully.
My approach was always identifying who I am and the purpose of my call. Then I offered a FREE something for an appointment to go to the person's home to make a presentation. You will need to be comfortable with your phone offer.
You may one of the few people who likes the "Cold Call" method and this may well work for you to build a local group that can work together, support one another and share ideas. All I can say is "Go for it". I would like a report sometime in the Forum maybe about how this has worked for you.

Should I encourage or discourage my PSAs who want to become Team Leaders right away?

Most of the answers to your question that have been posted here have touched on the idea that you need a team before you can be a team leader. SFI is a team building program. Each EA2 you develop is worth 100VP each month. When you have several EA2's on your team, becoming and maintaining "Team Leader" is much easier for you.
I would rather encourage my team members to maintain their EA2 rank and encourage their PSAs to do the same. Teach your people Duplication rather than encouraging them to become Team Leaders. As their team grows they will move up to Team leaders.
I would not encourage or discourage PSAs to become Team Leaders, but rather encourage consistent activity on a daily basis, learning how to train your people to achieve more and make more money, and allow your team to move at a pace comfortable for them.

Focus is the key word in your question. One problem most internet marketers have is that they are searching for the perfect business opportunity. They all look so appealing and the opportunity to make money is made out to be so easy, we want to join them all. But one cannot attempt to focus on 10 programs and be successful in any. That would be like a guy who is married to one woman and trying to date 9 other women and meet the needs of all 10. It's impossible.
Every successful marketer will tell you to focus on one income stream until you are solidly in profit before you consider adding another income stream. If SFI is your business, give it your full attention, learn how it works and how to make money.
