Yes, it is always a good idea to reassign PSAs to someone from their own country. The reasons are many to include:

1. They know each other's language and customs.

2. They know more about the market locally.

3. The may actually be in proximity of each other so that they can collaborate in person. This way they provide moral support and gain a stronger affinity for teamwork.

4. It will encourage duplication of affiliates.

These are a few reasons why reassigning PSAs based on geography is good advice. Moreover, reassigning affiliates should be done in such a way as to proliferate business. Inactive affiliates may become active and should not be scorned but active affiliates provide the synergy needed to create duplication.

Is it wise to not offer incentives to your PSAs or CSAs? You should know the answer for yourself. How would it make you feel if your sponsor or up line team leader gives you a gift certificate for your latest milestone achievement? Wouldn't it make you feel like they appreciated your effort? I think so. Yet, we don't want to give the wrong impression that you are going to get kudos for every little thing you do. No, everyone has to accept the responsibility for growing their own business. Notwithstanding, when you have PSAs or CSAs that go above and beyond, a personal note of gratitude and acknowledge can go a long ways without any added incentive. People love praise. So when it is free for you to give affirmation give it. If you want to give a small gift, then do it. Just remember that in the end you don't want anyone coming to you saying where's my gift certificate because I did such and so. Rather create and foster the synergy in your network that says I appreciate your efforts and see what you have done. Congratulations.

Cold calling prospects can be of some use but a more effect strategy is to call everyone you've warmed up to the opportunity. Just calling from a phone directory, you need to polish up on your elevator speech. Be professional and brief and you will be surprised to find that a total stranger will carry on a conversation with you. This no doubt is a learned skill and 1 that can prove very valuable.

However, the novice will likely chase more prospects away cold calling than they ever could draw. This said, I don't recommend this technique to newbies or anyone that is too lazy to learn a little about the prospect first then call them at a time they are most receptive to the information.

The best way to become a team leader is to become an EA first. Then start with the 2 CSAs you have and work with them in a way that promotes goodwill. Remember in life you learn best by doing. So start with them.

Then, your promotional efforts will bring about PSAs. Offer them both the same support. Work with them as a team. Become very familiar with their goals and help them understand the big picture. One affiliate at a time you will begin to see very rewarding results. But you must focus on the needs of the affiliate as well as the needs of the group. To do this just don't depend on the genealogy mailer. Keep your own contact list and work with your affiliates on a personal level. You will soon find that some will love your attention. Others don't need it as much. So you will learn when enough is enough and always help those affiliates who ask for your help.

When you do the aforementioned, your team leader attributes will shine and soon the badge will follow. Keep up the pace and then higher milestones will follow. For some the process is rather quick and for others it will take some more time and effort. There is no silver bullet. Just hard work and dedication to the correct course of actions are needed.

The best place I've found to post flyers is inside of the shopping window of certain merchants. Not all merchants will let you place flyers in there window. So please, do ask the owner or manager before doing this! The key here is once you have permission, you want to match the store with a comparable product.

For example, a flower shop window is not going to be a good place to put a flyer about cosmetics. Why? Well, people come to the flower store looking for flowers. So if you sell flowers that flyer should go in the window. Moreover, put an electronics flyer in an electronics store.

Nevertheless, keep in mind that you should not put the same product in the window that the merchant offers. Then the manager may feel that you are encroaching on his market and throw your flyer in the trash. For example if the merchant sales HP computers but not Dell computers, then tell the merchant up front that I'd like to put flyer in your window for Dell computers to help you reach that market.

The merchant may very well ask you how many Dell computers can you get at one time. If they do, just tell them that I'd be glad to sell you as many Dell computers as you need at 20% markup. Then, be quite. Let the merchant tell you what they are willing to do. They may ask for a piece of each sale or they may just say okay. Now if the merchant buys Dell computers from you, you would not advertise Dell computers in their window. The merchant now has that right because they sell Dell computers that they buy from you.

Consequentially, you gain a customer by trying to post a flyer. Either way, it a win, win situation. In addition to placing flyers in merchant windows consider community bulletin boards. These are usually high traffic areas as people visit them to check up on local events. Be sure to use a flyer that has perforated tabs that can be stripped away individually. Each strip should contain either your gateway info or a gift card code so that it may be redeemed by the individual and you'd get appropriate credit.

It is important that members feel appreciated and their achievements celebrated. You would never want to foster the sense of obligation or that you are simply preying on your network.
