I had two challenges: 1. Affording a standing order (SO)since I do not have a regular income and 2. Finding the easiest method of paying each month since I have no credit card. Here is what I did:
1. I set aside about three months of SO money from a project that I worked on.
2. I got my friend's permission to use her credit card so I prepaid my friend's credit card which I now use to honor my SO commitment. I will keep doing that until I find a better way.
3. I give more than the amount of money required for the SO because I understand that my friend is taking a risk even though she knows that I am trustworthy. Encouragement sweetens labor. We have also agreed that she can make use of the funds until I am ready for them so it has turned out to be a nice win-win situation.

There are other alternatives available to pay for purchases but I think using a credit card is the best, in my opinion.

We have to think outside the box to grow our business. I am glad that I did as I am reaping the benefits.

Note though, that my friend and I had already established a friendship based on trust.

A number of things have contributed to my decision to stay the course n SFI. Among them:
1. SFI is an incredible company- it is build to last- with an incomparable training resource that is available and accessible to all affiliates free of cost. I can always find great ideas that are implementable irrespective of my level of comfort/experience with the tool.

2. I know that I have found a company that values integrity. It holds all of us accountable. And it is fair, equitable and just.

3. SFI keeps its commitments to its affiliates. When earnings are to be posted and paid there are no excuses or delays.

4. Entrepreneurs value responsiveness from organisations that are there to provide support to help you grow your business. I have found SFI to be responsive to my queries, helpful in helping me overcome challenges and understanding in their approach to difficult situations.

5. My income is growing slowly each month and I am making progress in growing my business. This gives me confidence in SFI and provides me with the motivation to work harder.

Marty, I will share with you what has worked for me.

At first I was very hesitant to buy the Gift Cards. Then, I decided to take the plunge. I bought digital cards and I distributed them by email.

First I make a list of 30 persons who I know then I assign each a Redemption Code.

I write a short, warm and personal note to each one with the Redemption Code and instructions on how to redeem. Each message is personalized.

The response has been good with persons calling or emailing wanting to find out more about the gift card and the SFI business.

I increased my PRMs from 1 to six in one month. I got my first sale at TC from one of these PRMs this month. A few are interested in the business.

Online is a better option. You buy digital cards and get them immediately to promote your business. If you buy them early enough in the month you get to review the product and earn 25 VP in the same month that you purchased the Cards (for first purchase). You can either promote them immediately at your blog, website, or by email, etc.

I also helped an a2a friend through the process this month and he got a few redeemed as well (he promoted online).

I would go for online distribution but you could do a mix to determine what works best for uou.
