Sponsoring affiliates is definitely going to help you more.
Referring TripleClicks members will also benefit but not as much as affiliates.
You cannot get duplication for TripleClicks members.For affiliates if you are a team leader you can benefit upto 12 levels of downline. All the VersaPoints of EA2 & above will be added for your benefit.
But if you remain affiliate or only EA2 then probably referring TripleClicks might benefit you more because you even get the VersaPoints in addtion to commission.

What are the signs that a new affiliate is going to be a good one?

You see your top movers,if there is any new PSA then that affiliate has the potential of being a good one.
You then go & see the details of VersaPoints earned by him. If he has completed profile,uploaded photo,become a2a member,completed Get started Action,got points for LaunchPad,completed Intermediate action then the PSA is a good one.
If that PSA becomes EA or teamleader then it confirms that PSA is good.
The final test comes in the second month. If that PSA becomes EA2 or teamleader then the confirmation is confirmed.

Reassigning of PSA's is one of the ways to encourage or perk up your downline.
When you feel that your downline is not performing well,you can start a contest or you can tell all of them by sending a message that you will be alloting a certain number of PSA's if they reach EA status or EA2 status.
The number of your PSAs should be that much which you can handle & reply if you receive any query. If you have more ,you can apply the above method. So it depends on the time you have & the PSA's you can manage.

The best advise and help that you can give to your new PSA when you yourself are new is to go on conveying whatever you learn & whatever advice you receive from your upline.
Since you are also new,it is possible that your PSA acquires more knowledge than you. So whenever that PSA asks for clarifications regarding any point,please be careful in informing him because it is possible that you may not also be knowing it. If you also have doubt,contact your upline or forum to get the correct answer.

This is a difficult question to answer. But if you do not have initial contact,how can you follow up. So initial contact is important but initial contact alone is not sufficient ,it has to be followed up which is more important than initial contact. The details of benefits have to be explained. The initial enthusiasm has to be created. All doubts have to be cleared and only then can the results be expected

Can anything free be better than paid ? I don't think so.
Nobody gives importance to free things. Wherever the advertisement is free, there will be lot of it.Even SFI advertisements will be by many affiliates.
Paid advertisements costs but you have to be choosy. Get to know from others from where they get the maximum response.
Learning from other's mistakes is better than learning from your own mistakes.

For SFI affiliates, the most overrated activity is pricebender. Most of the affiliates with 50 or 100 TCs get hooked to Pricebenders but never win it.They get tempted by seeing the price of last winner for say 50 CSA's gone for $ 2. but when they start bidding ,they keep on losing their TCs at a very fast pace. The person on the other side is having many more TCs. And ultimately even if one wins by paying $ 15 what he gets is 50 inactive CSA's.
On the other hand the most underrated activity is SFIPPA.Here if the affiliate is lucky ,one can get upto $12 per affiliate depending on certain conditions

What are some ways to make my advertising more effective?

Advertising of any kind should be kept as simple as possible & should convey the message very clearly.
Nobody has time these days to read long advertisements. It should be as short as possible & at the same time conveys the message.
For example the advertisement regarding SFI should not contain all the details about SFI but just some phrases like free internet income etc

The only quality required for being successful with SFI is never quit.
There are various ways to be successful if you do not quit.
Follow the SFI Ultra Basic 3 Step Plan.
1.Become an EA and remain an EA every month.
2.Recruit atleast 5 PSAs
3.Teach them to be EA & remain EA every month. Also teach them to repeat points 2 & 3.
If you find 5 PSAs who can repeat the above, you will have profit however small it be.
Sky is the limit after this

Participating in Ask SC helps in becoming a more successful SFI affiliate in the following way:
1.You can directly ask questions in Ask SC & get very good response. Affiliates prefer to rate AskSC more than the forum because you get one additional VersaPoint by giving rating to 10 AskSC questions & can also get one addtional entry in Daily Grand by rating another 20 Ask SC question.
2.You can also answer AskSC questions.In addition to sharing your knowledge if your answer gets the most ratings ,you get 100 VersaPoints. If not 100 VersaPoints,you may get 50 or 25 VP depending on the ratings you get for your answers.
3.By rating Ask SC answers you get the benefits mentioned in number one above plus if you rate more than 1000 Ask SC questions ,you can also get a badge for Ask SC.
