Perhaps the best and fastest way to generate commissions is thru TripleClick sales. This is not to say that this is easily done. TC sales earn you 45% of CV, which is awesome. This type of commission can be earned from day one, also awesome. Non-the-less, every day that we work at our SFI business model aids our commission growth as well as our personal growth.

Other then the normal advice (log in daily, complete 500 actions vps first day to earn Fast Tract, etc)I encourage my new PSAs to jump into advertizing, both to generate TC sales (more immediate income) and to sponsor new affiliates (creates residual income). Even novice can get started on advertizing, which is after all, the main "job" here.

I would attempt to meet the ECA in person to determine as to why they have not yet listed any of their products. I would take with me all the information that is available on the ECA program to go-over or leave with them, if this is the problem (not a clear understanding of how the program works). I would try and use encouraging words to help motivate them. And I would even volunteer to walk them threw their first listing, as a help. Once they get a listing and begin generating sales, it will motivate them to list more items. Hope this helps.

This question made me smile :) You see, I was a business owner before I became a wife. My husband never became involved with my first business and he does not bother with my second one (SFI). Now, if one's partner is business minded and will take the time to understand the SFI business model, he/she will understand the reason for investing near the start. Being EA/EA2 is the first of SFI's "core concepts". It is one of the first ways to build your team and retain your CSA downline. I would lastly suggest that before you pose the ideal of investment to your partner, if you must pose the ideal that is, have a few different possible "purchases" in mind and laid out. Have the cost of the item chosen and the reason(s) why this particular item was chosen, like how it will benefit the growth of your SFI business. Communication is the key. One has to make contact with the dormant affiliate in some fashion. Team Mail, personal e-mail, social network sites such as Face Book, Twitter. Whatever mode works, the message should show true interest in the welfare of the dormant affiliate and as to why they are choosing not to work the SFI business model. Point out how, regardless of their current circumstances, SFI can work for them. Be sure and make it "real" without false promises. Offer your help and be genuine in this.

"How much time...." seems to be on the mind of many affiliates, especially new ones. And perhaps the best answer is "as much time as you can". For new affiliates as well as old, there is much information here in the SFI site that you can always find something to read and act upon.
However, as the part of your question that asked "do I need" is in my opinion, 30-60 minutes daily. The collection of Daily Vps via your red tabbed pages will take you 20-30 minutes to review minimum but some additional minutes should be used to actually read, especially, any Alerts messages that pertain to changes in SFI/Tripleclicks/etc.
I also believe voting on the additional ASK SC answers, which give you an additional entry in the Daily Grand drawing should be done whenever possible. Every serious SFI affiliate can make use of the prizes offered there (TCredits, MRPs, CSAs, VPS, and Prestige Domains).
Another game to participate in daily is T-Time,. When, from the To-Do List, your are checking out the latest items at Tripleclicks, take those few extra minutes to click on the Games Tab and enter T-Time. Again, T-Credits are some serious business to SFIer's.
Know too, that the heart of working at SFI is advertising/marketing. Here again, while performing you Daily Actions, you have 2-or more instances that a touch of advertising can be done, from your Alerts Tabbed Page and your Tripleclicks Tabbed page. The Tripleclicks tabbed page always has 2 "Share-It"s. One is for the Deal Of The Day and the other for a WOW auction. These can be shared at Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, ect quickly each dayand give you an advertising plug daily. From the Alerts page you might, or might not, have other Share-Its. However many you have, use them to help spread the word about SFI, Tripleclicks and all they have to offer (games, auctions, products, business opportunity, etc).
However much time you choose to spend working your SFI business, remember that it is your financial future that is the end goal. Work hard, have fun, aim high, dream big! To success!

1)I expect my TL (Team Leader) to be knowledgeable of the business and/or be willing to assist me in finding the answer to my inquiries. Sometimes, directing me to contact support is the correct response to my inquiry. 2)I expect my TL to be active in the business. And most important, 3)I expect my TL to respond to me when I make contact. These three things, I think, make for an Awesome TL. Others may expect more and I think some expect too much (like continuing financial support).

First, I assume that such an affiliate has expressed his/her feelings on this, so the communication door is open. Take time to assess the affiliates profile to get a better feel of this person as an individual and also, of course, ask them why they feel this way. Then help them work out a possible solution to assist them. For example, if they can't get that first PSA (active or not), add them to your co-op for free or assign them one of your PSAs (preferably an active one if you have one to spare). If they have trouble reaching/staying EA, try an help them work out a solution that is affordable and practicable for both them and even you. Perhaps a few TCredits or a small Gift Certificate for you is needed. Do they need to be doing more advertising? Send them reference to sites that are free listing. Explain the importance of advertising daily to grow their down-line. Whatever the reason for an affiliate feeling this way, a solution can be found. Hope this helps!

I think my greatest challenge was to create for myself an action plan to get everything done that I felt important to my SFI business and then put that plan into motion. I am still tweaking it, btw. I now realize I can not complete everything in one day and have created myself a daily schedule, which of course is a flexible one non-the-less. The tasks I have to complete EVERYDAY include SFI daily, weekly, and monthly actions; respond to any correspondence on SFI site from upline. downline, & a2a. ; Visit TC to enter Zebra games. Then it's off to my personal e-mail accounts (I have 3). Then I place 1 FREE ad on-line. From there, it depends on the day of the week. Different days = different tasks. These include > dealing with my FREE safelist site (reading e-mails and then posting my own ads). Another day catching up my blog page. Yet another day, socializing with my ad community and renewing/placing ads there. One day is for SFI forum visits for sure. And now a day for working with my ECA store. Still yet another day is set for placing numerous on-line ads. And the 7th day is my fun day. I still complete my everyday tasks above but now I can spend time at Pricebenders (my fun/enjoyment)or in the forum (I really enjoy my time there). Being a work-from-home job, it sure can keep one busy.

The most important thing I learned in my first year was that EA/EA2 is the rank to be while you read and learn the business; and work and grow yourself a downline of affiliates AND try to reach BTL once in a while to receive a share of the second-home CSAs. Receiving second-home CSAs will grow that "leg" of your downline and remaining EA/EA2 will allow you to keep them. Know that second-home CSAs are affiliates that are already involved with the business and who have lost their co-sponsors due to their co-sponsors failing to re-affirm their EA/EA2 rank. There will be some non-active ones but hopefully several active ones as well.
