Can I be successful in SFI without investing any money? And if so, how?

Yes of course, you can be successful without investing any money. It is stressful, you must work very hard and you have to be very, very patient, but yes, you can succeed.
At first you had to 'invest' your time. You have to read and learn as much as you can about SFI and online marketing. You have to search Tripleclicks and find items which you will advertise. You have to post lots of adds at Internet or social network or print flyers... You have to do your daily task every day. You have to be very dedicated to this job.
You have to play games: T-Time, Card king, Gold streak. You have two free enters (for each of them) but you can win lots of TC. Those TC can help you to maintain your status.
This is my way.

If I could turn the clock back, I would carefully loads of action points. I would like the first day of play T-Time and Knockout trivia. Also, after a few days I made a blog and posted advertisements in the newspapers.
I would not have bothered with trifles. I would not pay attention to sloths and lazy and nagging people, but I'd worked with workers.
If you were asked what you love about SFI, what would you say?

Games, especially Knockout trivia. I like it the best. I was the nird and I know lots of trivialities. It is funny too. I am an addict. Few months ago, I was so nervous because there was not KOT. I had some problems with my net connection and I couldn't play KOT. I was a bit hysterical. I was chatting in chat-room with my sponsor and one guy who works for SFI and who tried to help me. He fixed my 'problem', I was so happy and I shared that with them and I went (immediately) to play KOT. I was playing my beloved KOT when I saw that I had some messages. I backed(for the moment) at our chat-room and I saw conversation between them. My sponsor (and the best friend) said: You think she's doing her daily task. But no, she is playing Trivia.
I like the other games too. But KOT means something special for me.

When seeking serious affiliates for SFI, what is the most important question to ask the prospect?

We are usually very happy to get a new PSA so we do not ask them questions but they usually investigate us. But we should ask them some simple questions too.
I think this is the most important question:
Do you believe that you can become rich overnight?
Then this one:
Do you believe that there is such a thing as a free lunch?
End finally may favourite one:
How many hours do you plan to do during the day and how much money you expect to receive at the end of the month?
Mostly they expect to work 10 to 15 minutes per day and receive 20 to 100$ at the and of the month. They are very respectful of their free time ( I am sarcastic ( a bit)) so we should respectful our time and don't waste time with such PSA.

What would be a good strategy for attracting senior citizens to SFI?

There are associations of pensioners in my country. They gather in clubs and playing cards or chess. Also, these clubs have some sort of trade unions. You can deal and have one presentation at their headquarters. The elderly people like gatherings.
You can use your lap-top and show them how to register and how to do Daily task. They have a lot of time and a good will. Somebody will join you for sure and somebody tell his friends about you.
How do you motivate your downline to spend money monthly to maintain EA status without sounding greedy?

This is a good question. The same thing has bothered me for months.
I think you need to explain the benefits of EA status (higher wages, 10TC free, the new CSA) and the consequences that will have if you do not confirm the status (CSA loss, loss of profits ...). It should encourage associates to participate in the games. Some already do it and have won something TC. That TC and MPR, its can help to confirm the status. If they lack some VP, they can to supplement so that they can buy individual TC.
SO is a great thing. If you buy SO, you do not have to worry about the confirmation status. I recommend you to buy S-Builder or 125TC. If you buy a package TC, you can participate in the auctions and win it.
Of course, there are some who would not want any of this. If someone does not want to buy individual TC to confirm the status or to set SO, and also considers gaming nonsense - you ask yourself if this person is worth your time.
And do not forget: you do not run a charity - you do business. No salary without work and investment. It is not greed, it is common sense.

I think that the best way to help your PSA is giving him advices.
You need to advise your PSA to avoid some rookie mistakes. You should also explain to him how to communicate with his downline. You need to give him help and support. You need to give him some literature about management.
What you should not do is to advise his associates. Why? Because your PSA may have the impression that stealing his downline. Perhaps he won't say so, but your relationship will become bad and cold especially if you know you did it without his knowledge.
The worst thing is if you push his for his team. This is additional work, without boss and no one expects to his sponsor bossy (to him or his downline). But if you offer his downline to post SO, and previously it does not notify her about this initiative, or if his PSA call him and ask who is this woman (that is you) and what she wants from them, you are on a good path to lose that affiliate.
You need to set some boundaries. Good will can often be misinterpreted. So provide help when your PSA ask to.
It is not easy to be sponsor. Not at all.

I personally like playing games. I enjoy it.
I've successfully advertised KOT, because I myself was successful in it.
I recommend to all T-Time, because there is most likely to receive something. To win at KOT and Pick the price you need knowledge. To win in all other games, you only need lot of luck.
Your PSA will play a couple of times a game, but if your PSA never get, he will be overjoyed. Everyone likes to sometimes get a prize. Look at KOT. More than 200 people used to participate in each pariah. Today, 20 to 50 people participate. Very sad. But it is understandable. Now he plays only those who are addicted. The winner gets nothing, runner up gets nothing, no more bribes. After a while it ceases to interested people.
New PSAs have no longer any chance of winning spin and win in Card King. They are new and do not have a TC. Of course they will be disappointed.
Of course, there are those who are gamblers at heart will love the games, but it seems to be the mostly try to Flash drawings.

It is necessary to confirm your status every month (at least EA2). It is very easy if you put money and post SO. But it is not impossible to succeed without investing money. Then you have to regularly play T-Time, to play games. You have two free entrance every day per games, haven't you? Use it. You have to do regular daily action.
You are essential PSA. IF you don't buy S- builder or PSA, or CSA, you've gotta find them. Since you do not want to pay for advertising, you have to regularly post your ads in Facebook groups or internet portals. Also you have to advertising to local level. You have to be inventive and to dedicate to this business.
It is not easy to endure until you find PSAs that will understand and accept the process of duplication. It is not easy, but it is achievable.

How can I promote my ECA store's products to my downline so they'll want to sell them and/or buy them?

I think it is best to be honest. Send mail to them and say, "Hi, I've just opened my personal ECA. It would make me very happy and I'd be grateful if you would have visited and told me your opinion about products and prices. I will gladly accept any advice to has improved my ECA." I think you'd like to get people to visit it and carefully examine products. Maybe visitors will buy something. In any case, you'll get useful advice. In this way you will not fall pushy nor greedy.
