What should a new ECA do and not do in their first month?

An ECA should prepare all valid items that they may post for sale at TripleClicks and if possible to attract buyers, they "should give" high discount percentage on sale in some of the items on their first month. This may be the most effective way of attracting customers/buyers of the items they posted at TripleClicks.
ECAs should also inform their affiliates and friends in SFI on their first month, to let them know and help you dispose of your items displayed at TripleClicks, in addition to the notices sent by the SFI.
On the other hand, items that are not allowed by the TripleClicks should not be posted thereat, otherwise, you will be disqualified and may be banned as an ECA.

How do you learn to write effective ads if you have never written any ads before?

Everyone is learning everyday.
Even you have no experienced or have not written any ads before, you can still write effective ads after observing other ads posted in some internet social websites, newspapers, magazines, etc.,
If an affiliate wants to grow their business in SFI, they must know how to make an ads effectively.
If they don't really know how to create effective ads, they must ask or inquire from their sponsor/upline because it's their obligations to assist and teach their down-line in many ways.

You must avoid those keywords that are considered ambiguous,not concise, very long and lengthy words.
The keywords when setting up advertisements on search engines are those words that are usually common to the searchers, it may be literal or common words, so it would be easy for your keywords to be siphoned by the search engine when the same or similar words will be mentioned thereat.
I think proper keywords should be observed to make one's advertisements very effective.

You will know it's working when someone is responding from you ads.
Sometimes you will just amazed when a number of PSAs are coming in your inbox e-mail.
All you have to do is to create an effective concise ads that can attract the readers/viewers to click and respond to your auto responder because even it's working it may not acquire a respondents if it cannot give attraction at all.
Ask some tips from your sponsor of how to create a very effective auto responder ads.

This is a good question because this is the headache of all new affiliates after getting all the action points provided in SFI Homepage.
They do not know that after getting the aforesaid Action VersaPoints (AVP), there were still the best ways to get AVP. These ways are identified as follows: By participating in all PriceBender Auctions, Eager Zebra Games Entry which currently includes Time Machine and Pick the Price, and of course by Voting/downloading TripleClicks Music Contest.

Thousands of Affiliate are doing the same thing because they followed what has been provided by SFI rules or guidelines.
They can only stand out from the crowd if in the long run they have discovered more effective strategies of multiplications and uplifting their own business without using the SFI usual procedures.
However,in the preliminary start up, an affiliate should follow the flow of the waters to learn and understand the foundation of this kind of Online Job/Business, as the veterans are more knowledgeable than the amateurs.
Without proper foundation, a building could stand longer in an earthquake.

Keywords are important when placing an ads.
Choosing keywords for a display network campaign free or paid is about connecting your ads with people most likely to be interested with the SFI and TripleClicks Business.
Based on what you know about the people whom you have to display your ads in Facebook groups or in some other Social Networks, you have to pick keywords that are relevant to your campaign ads which people would visit because of that keywords they have been enticed to explore, what are in it.
For example, if your most likely prospects are part time income, you might add keywords around income. Then, Adwords finds relevant websites that include your keywords where your ads will appear.
It’s a good idea to pick keywords that are relevant to an entire ad group, and not just a single ad. So when they search for that words your campaign ads will suddenly appear.

Is it worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs...or can I just send out group mailings?

Either or Both are very helpful.
The one address to new PSAs are sometimes different from group mailings because letters to PSAs are usually specific and direct while in group mailings may be done in a broad and may not be direct to some PSAs who have different struggles in their SFI Business.
However, the two stands very important to Affiliate Leaders, for they can use them to regularly guide and contact their respective PSAs including CSAs, from time to time.
Hence, it is worthwhile to send either or both.

Any regular hosted websites or blog of SFI cannot give assurance for effective advertising.
The host or address of advertising does not really matter because it depends upon the words or phrases employed to convince someone to join SFI.
More visitors can be seen at the regular hosted websites than the other, however, it is recommended that we should not limit our advertisements to one website but rather we should post it, to all websites if necessary, to acquire the number of PSAs we desired for our SFI Business.
Remember, that the more PSAs we have the more residual income will be acquired.
