I almost gave up on SFI. What did you do to keep pushing forward?

I guess that would be "don't ever quit" - STAY FOCUSED and put all your attention into building your SFI business.BUT you need to read and study everyday, visit SFIMG.com everyday and TAKE ACTION everyday.
If you quit, you've automatically lost. As we say at SFI, "this is not a race," meaning this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. There is NO such thing.Stay positive and remember that is our Attitude and not our Aptitude that determines our Altitude! Getting to the top is mostly a question of believing you're already there.
It takes time to build any business, it is the relationships we build with our customers and affiliates that becomes our business and where the real long-term results come from.
Then go find a few other business-minded people like you, and teach them how to do the same. Generate. Sponsor. Duplicate.
This is what i push forward and i hope all off you can get the results you are looking for. Best of times and remember to smile and enjoy :)

How do I get my downline members to participate in my team contests?

Hello Beatrice and all other members of SFI community.
We have to let our team know that we have a contest, and if the participate it will add value to their own business.We have to consider the time frame of the contest and it would be amazing to add some fun into it as well.
We get our team believing that the can achieve it and it will raise them to the next level in leadership. Because that should be the ultimate goal to achieve, to have a team of leaders not followers.
And for others in the team to see it would be great to post regular updates of progress with the participants.
Also we can always try to change the rewards for wining the contest, maybe they are not seeing the value in the rewards.

I see that there are ECAs in my local area who have not yet listed any products. How can I/we encourage them to become active ECAs?

You can show them the power of Tripleclicks being visited by millions every month, and by being an active ECA will give there store a global reach instead of just local.
You could offer them some free TCredits so they can start to list there products and you should let them know that you will work for them advertising there store.
Be creative and convincing and most of all believe in yourself and your business. I want to end this with some great words from our founder and great leader Gery Carson :

You can explain the power in the SFI Compensation Plan, show all the free training you get here to grow your business and yourself.
What i did, asked for faith in me and explained that it does not happen over night. So we settled on a time frame of six months. And i will prove it works for sure.
And the adventure began and i every single day work on my business and myself, i study internet marketing, leadership, time management and everything i feel can help me. And i advertise everywhere i see that it works and i keep a schedule to get things done.
I know my partner will be prode off me and the business that i have built :)

i want to thank you for this thought. What i feel for my business to grow, is that everyday i study leadership, i watch lectures, read good books and i follow great leaders and implement what they do.
What i have found is most important is to add value to people, and how i do that is by giving my team tips and tricks on what is working for me in my business. If i find new good tools or resources a tell them where they can find it also and how to use them.

How can you build your SFI business on a tight budget?

Greetings Keith,
This is a good question and i am glad to say that i am working on almost no budget as i am a student.
What i do is i spend my time on working smart and using classified ads, traffic exchanges , list mailers and all free tools and resources i can get my hands on. There is so much help and support here at SFI that i got to love it.
