As many members of SFI will agree, you surely can not 'force' anyone to commit to SFI. We have all experienced the excitement of signing up or receiving new PSA's, hoping that they will become an active team member. Some will, but unfortunately, most will not. You have to take that in stride, don't give up, and keep working and building your team.

First and foremost, be honest with them. Don't overload them with too much information in the beginning. Let them know that building a substantial income with SFI will take time, patience and work on their part. Encourage them to read and learn as much as they can - everyday. As you have read many times, this is not a 'get rich quick' business, and we all know that from our own personal experiences. Be sure that you are available to your PSA's, to help answer any questions that they may have. Give them guidance but be honest with them. If you do not know or have an answer, tell them that, but research the question and get back to them with answers or suggestions - don't "leave them hanging".

Patience is essential and perseverance is critical. A good example is my own story .. I became an affiliate of SFI in November one year - but did not become an 'active' team member until the following February. I'm glad my sponsor did not give up on me.

I am one of the fortunate SFI members - I have a good sponsor - many do not. In their defense though, I believe many 'new' sponsors are caught in the middle. They are trying to learn the business themselves as well as learn how to be a good or great sponsor. That is difficult. My sponsor advised me from the beginning that SFI is not a "get rich quick" business (as we have all read and heard many times) .. that I would have to be patient and I definitely would be challenged - but if I stuck with it, my perseverance and work would pay off in the end. In the beginning, everything was 'fuzzy' and I was confused - in fact I didn't start off well at all. After one week, I got caught up in my work (outside of SFI) and I did not log in for about 6 weeks. My sponsor continued to communicate with me - but did not criticize or 'scold' me - instead he continued to let me know his accomplishments and how encouraged he was about SFI. I started back after 6 weeks and have been learning and absorbing as much as I can. I am not making gallant strides - but that is of my own choosing - I'm learning the business at my own pace and every week I accomplish something new and I am reaching MOST of my new goals each month. I am OK where I'm at right now - but I most definitely see a great future ahead ... that's the exciting part and what keeps me motivated!

I wasn't clear about E365 and I have been eliminated for my class - I am a little disappointed about that. Secondly, as someone else mentioned, I would have completed my "getting started" actions on the first day to get the Fast Track badge and bonus points .. those are two things that I would do differently - but neither one are 'show stoppers'. The badges are nice and make you feel good when you achieve them, but NOT having them really doesn't affect you as far as learning the business and accomplishing your ultimate goal. I think the most important thing that I did not do right away, and definitely would change, is to read the SFI Basics and Launchpad Lessons - those are invaluable.
