Working on a tight budget for many is a sense of reality in our society today. It's becoming more of a global situation every day. My husband is on disability and when I started SFI I was working for minimum wage..$7.25/hr; I recently lost my job in which I was only making $8/hr.

My husband and I sat down and had a long talk about what we were going to do regarding finances. We have decided that we will pinch on food budget and eat very cheaply. We also contacted several creditors and made payment arrangements on some of our bills and even lowered some payments. Any extra money we do get from friends or little things we do will be put aside to invest in my SFI.

I used to have my own commercial business and was constantly pumping serval $1,000's into it every month. I figure if I can get away with $50-75 in this business and build it (even if it is slow) then that's what I have to do. I have set a SO for 125 TCredits and S-Builder and usually pick up some other TCredits during the month; I am starting to get PSA's coming slowly plus the 250 CSA I have received for being EA or BTL. I have about 8 active people so far (no PSA's) and so I can see my business growing as long as I can manage to keep my status!

Keep thinking positive and success will be yours. It all boils down to what you want and how badly or how much you believe in it!

I have been in SFI for about 5 months but I have learned something valuable just recently. I have tried about 10 or so different internet "schemes" over the last several years; yes I have lost plenty of money that I did not have to lose to begin with, but that was a learning experience in itself!

I believe the thing that I have learned that is impacting me the most is that I have to change my way of thinking. Society puts so much pressure on us for so many things that we tend to complicate most things we do. Business is a major player in that game. The internet "{seems" so overwhelming that I, like many others, got caught up in the "Oh my goodness, I don't get it" mentality. I recently looked at some information on site I ran across and saw the simplicity of writing. We all have experiences in our lives we can pull from; this is where my brain instantly went with this new found simplicity. I have been thinking that I have to buy something from others and sell it. I realized that many of the businesses I have been in over the years I can draw from and sell products I have.

Stop thinking that the world owes you or that you can't manage something. Everything is right in front of us for the taking..just grab your share! It's not difficult, it just takes a little time! So remember that God does not give us anything that we cannot handle and if it is worth having, it is worth working for!

Setting goals in SFI is not unlike setting goals for other situations in one's life.

My suggestion is to follow this simple outline:
1.) Visit the goals tab. Let SFI guide you thorugh the goals here.
2.) Write or print these goals out. Have a copy posted where you readily see it to remind you where you want to go.
3.) When setting these goals remember to think about the time frame in which you wish to accomplish them and include that in your written/visual list.
4.) Always reach just above what you think you can actually do. It's a psychological concept that when the brain sees something, it will strive to reach that.
5.) Don't look to what other people are doing..look inside of yourself and see your potential. This will be based off your experiences and situations. (Someone who works full time may not succeed to the same level as someone who only works SFI; someone who has internet marketing experience may succeed faster than someone without that.

You are in control of your destination..not anyone else. As Mary Kay Ash used to say, "hitch your wagon to a star!" But remember that that star may burn out, so learn how to fly so you don't fall. Look for a mentor that you trust and can emulate..just remember your own limits!

Strive to land on the moon and maybe you will at least land among the stars!
