Support does not have to be financial, you can succeed in this business w/o spending money if you can't afford to do it. Spending money = investing in your business and this will speed up the process but it is not a must.

So, supporting the affiliates in your team can be done by being an Awesome Sponsor and by Leading by Example!

Make sure you are committed to your business and Show It! Your badges speak for this. Train your team to duplicate your efforts and you'll all see

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?

There is this saying: you have to spend money to make money!

There is no business that becomes profitable w/o investment; whether time, energy or money and most of time a business requires all these types of investments.

SFI is no different: we invest time and energy every day by doing the daily tasks, advertising, sponsoring, recruiting, selling, etc. This will eventually lead to having a team and being successful.
But without monetary investment it will take a little

Above all else, what is the ONE THING that has made the difference for you in succeeding with SFI?

The "one thing" that has made the difference for me was the fact the SFI is a REAL system that actually makes sense, it's easy to understand and it works. Once I realized this it motivated me to work the system and become successful; I knew then that I'm not wasting my time, energy and investment into some "get-rich-scheme" but rather in a proven opportunity and that did it for me!

If you can not afford paid advertising you have to dedicate as much time and energy as possible to the free methods available to you:

- create a facebook page for your SFI business and invite all your friend to see it
- post ads on Craigslist and other free advertising sites using your Gateways
- print the SFI sponsoring flyers and post them on bulletin boards
- spread the word about SFI within your family, circle of friend, neighbors, church, school, work, etc.

Remain positive!

Negative people will try to bring you down to their level. Do not becoming argumentative. Allow negative talk to bounce off you.
Negative and positive attitudes can both be contagious.
Instead of being drawn into someone's negativity, you can present a positive attitude that may help to change their attitude. But, don't waste too much time trying to change it, it may not be possible.

Why do some affiliates find success with SFI in just weeks, while for others it takes months or years?

The affiliates that find success in a few weeks are those that approach the business in an "aggressive" way; they either:

- have financial power and use it for paid advertising or to purchase signups from SFI/ECA and build a large team very fast without expecting to recuperate this initial investment right away, or

- have internet advertising experience and/or huge networking and build a large team very fast with lower initial investment

Your Goals should be Realistic!

Set them too high - you'll be disappointed when you can't reach them and lose the motivation and drive!!

Set them too low - you won't be using all your potential and sell yourself short!

Look at your progress in the last few months, analyze it, if you're happy with what you've accomplished set your next month goals 10% higher; this way you challenge yourself and test your capabilities as the same time.

If you're not

What is the most valuable thing you learned in your first year in SFI?

In my half year with SFI, the most valuable thing I learned (the hard way) is to take my time, not rush things and everything will eventually fall in place.

Do not become Team Leader without having a team of EA2s. You may find yourself spending a lot trying to maintain the TL status and the benefits won't be there.

Start by maintaining your EA2 status every month, build your team of at least five EA2s and then push to become Team Leader!
