Your downline is a captive market even if they are not connect with your ECA store as yet. They know you and hopefully trust you and are interested in what you have in your store.

Tell your downline about your ECA and invite them to have a look and to purchase what they want. At the same time encourage them to open up a store of their own and offer whatever help you can give to set up their store.

Promote ECAs to your downline explaining to them the benefits of becoming an ECA and giving your store as an example.

How you run your store should also be an example to them. If they are not interested in having a store of their own hopefully they will want to purchase from you and sell your products by promoting your store.

For this to happen - the goods and services at your store must be attractive and sort after and of the highest quality - offer free shipping whenever possible – provide excellent customer service.

On top of this, promote your store and any discounted products you have to all the other affiliates including your team members.

Do not overwhelm your affiliates with your ECA related mails or they will likely turn away from you and SFI. Remember your primary role to your team is to be their sponsor. Focus on sponsoring and not dumping down on them promoting your store.

They have money but not the time!

This is actually rather unfortunate because this is a people business. We may spend a lot of time on the internet and don't regularly front up to people face to face but this business is built on relationship. Relationships with other people.

To build good relationships we need to regularly communicate with our clients or customers, with our team members. We cannot be good sponsors if we do not train, encourage and help our affiliates.

The people with the money can certainly just simply purchase PSAs but if they do not connect and sponsor them, those people that are recruited will most likely loose heart and leave. Unfortunately they will take with them an unfavourable impression of SFI and quite often people do not keep these to themselves. They spread them and this tarnishes SFI's reputation.

I would try to help these people by letting them know that while they can purchase and quickly build up the number of PSAs in their teams using the power of their money, it will all come to nothing if they do not put time into the business. They need to invest not just money but also time into the business. Time to sponsor affiliates and communicate with customers.

This is not an investment business. This is a business built on relationships: people to people.

I believe that you should work at enforcing the message that in SFI they do not have to make any purchases ever to succeed and therefore a credit card is not vital. It would certainly help to have a card and make purchases but no absolutely necessary.

I would recommend that you help your members with their promotions. The focus I suggest is to promote TripleClicks in the 1st instance with the focus of building up funds. SFI recruiting can also be done at the same time but focus on TripleClicks.

Teach them how to use the free promotional vehicles out there:
- Traffic Exchanges
- Classifieds
- Email submitters
- Facebook
- Twitter
- Other social nets
- Blogs
- Free websites
- Promoting their websites
- Many other ways of advertising free on the internet.
There are also many other ways of promoting SFI and TripleClicks offline.

Teach them how to build up their teams of affiliates. How to recruit them and how to sponsor them.

I would also encourage them to participate as much as possible in all the free games and contests in SFI. They can win some great prizes in the Daily Grand that would help them grow their business. The can win TC etc at the free games and with these TC, they can use them at the auctions etc..

They do not have to have a credit card in order to become Team Leaders.

You probably do not know why he was inactive, so simply acknowledge this and move on. You can indirectly enquire as to why he was inactive so that you can help him. I would shy away from asking him directly as this may be taken as a telling off.

What I would say?

I would welcome him back and congratulate him on his decision to continue with SFI. Reinforce the fact he has made a wise decision. If there have been major developments within SFI since he was last active, bring him up to date.

Reinforce your role as his sponsor especially the fact that he is not alone in this business. You are willing and available to help him succeed.

Encourage him to continue being active.

They need to understand the fact that every VP counts especially from the BTL level upwards.

Explain to them the difference between Sales VP and Action VP and that if they want to progress up the ranks past EA, they need Action VP.
At EA level one can easily achieve the rank by having a Standing Order of 1500VPs or by purchasing items from TripleClicks to a total of at least 1500VPs. These are all sales VP.

The Daily ‘Action VPs’ you are referring to are Action VPs. Action VPs are hard to come by and many Team Leaders struggle to get these in order to qualify for their ranks. These are however readily available to them at the ‘to-do-list’ tab day after day and they should take advantage of these daily gifts.

Further to this, even if they have achieved their desired rank and don’t need the Action VPs, it would be very wise to continue to grab these Daily action VPs. The reason for this is, if you qualify to participate in the TripleClicks Executive Pool and if you qualify for Matching VPs, every VP you can collect will help you. The more VPs you have the more Matching VPs and/or the more shares of the Executive Pool you receive. Remember each VP equals 1 share of the Executive Pool. The more VPs you have therefore, the more money you get.

These are the main points for grabbing those daily action VPs. Explain these to your affiliates and ones they understand, they will religiously collect those every day.

I presume here that you are referring to your SFI Gateways not a personal website. But that is really irrelevant as how you treat them should be very similar.

What you want is a lot of traffic going to your site and hopefully a lot of them will sign up as Affiliates or TC members. This can be done by you doing some of the following:

Purchase visitors package products from TCs ECAs. You can also purchase these externally but I would recommend TC.

Regularly submitting your sites to the search engines. Don't overdo these - every 10 days have been recommended as the correct frequency otherwise you might get listed as spam.

When doing promotions and advertising, shorten your website address. I use Google. This makes it easier for your readers, not having to deal with a long address and they can always look up Google for the long address.

Make sure you website is up to date regarding content, look and feel. Having attracted the readers, you want them to spend as much time as possible on your site and hopefully purchase from TC or sign up as an affiliate.

Make sure, if you are promoting products, that they are currently available and in stock, the pricing is correct (if no longer on a special price make sure the correct current one is listed)

The tendency hear will be to say - "Yes! Of course it would be beneficial." Unfortunately it is not as straightforward as it seems.

If SFI were to set up forums in languages other than English, they would be of great benefit to non English speaking affiliates. They would find it easier to understand the systems and support each other in their own language. It would also make it easier for them to recruit people from countries that speak their language.

SFI is however and international business and English is the international language of the business world. There are many languages and dialects in the world and it would be a logistical nightmare not to mention costs, to set up separate forums even if they were just for the main languages. There is also the danger of SFI being fragmented and communication break-downs as a result different languages being used.

I do believe that if people feel strongly about having forums in their own language a senior team leader should be allowed to have a forum in their own language hosted by him or her on their own websites. They become responsible for their accuracy and credibility.

It is, afterall, the sponsor's role to assist their team members understand the system and support them growing their business.

Regarding seminars in their own language, again this is the responsibility of team leaders. They can in fact do that right now.

It would be really nice and helpful to invest funds in your PSAs but that is not necessary.

I suspect that the majority of us joined SFI because we want to be financially successful. We want to make money. You see we already have that desire within us, although its degrees varies from person to person.

I believe that as sponsors we need to work on that desire within our team members - cultivate it, nurture it, constantly remind them of it, motivate them, etc to work towards becoming financially successful and secured.

Let us be always aware that the business is their business. Their businesses stand and fall mainly on their own efforts. We can help but if they don't work, their businesses will fail.

I believe that as sponsors, our role is that of trainer, coach, support, motivator. I do not include in there financial supporter, bank roller or anything similar. Don't get me wrong. I am not against giving team members gifts such as TC, reassignments etc but never financial.

How you encourage your PSAs to stay active is by:
- Being active yourself.
- Keeping an eye on their progress, listening and responding to what they are saying
- Sending them encouraging words, acknowledging successes & milestones
- Sending them tips, teachings and advise regarding the business
- Developing a partnership role with your PSAs.

Most importantly, I believe, is working on your relationship. If you are a distant sponsor, regardless of how much money you invest in them, I suspect that your PSAs will be unhappy and my not stay active for long. If however you have a close relationship with them, they are likely to be loyal and remain active.

Facebook is the largest social media site in the world and most of the marketers quite correctly say that all internet marketers must have a presence on FaceBook. But it is so crowded with people and their promotions.

One must be strategic in order to advertise successfully on FaceBook.

Briefly, here is what I recommend:

Open an account on FaceBook.

Create groups for advertising purposes. Create as many as you can manage and as FB will allow. There are many network marketing related groups already in existence and you can join these but I believe that you should also create your own and invite others to join your groups. In that way you retain administration of your groups.

Post you ads on these groups. With your own groups - always pin your ads. This will ensure that anyone visiting your page will see your ad because it will always stay at the top of the page. With other peoples groups post as often as are allowed on the group pages where the administrator does not pin ads. With the pages where the ads are pinned your ads will away play second fiddle to the administrators ads.

If you are not too worried about pinning your ads at the top of the page, other advertisers can pay for the privilege of having their ads pinned - you make some money that way.

Because of the large number of people posting on groups, ads are quickly replaced and you therefore need to post as regularly as possible, constantly putting your message before the world.

There are auto posters out there that will post your ads on Facebook. These are the best but be very careful how you use them. Facebook seems to arbitrarily limit peoples activities and people don't have a say. They will suspend your account if they suspect that you are a robot or you make too many postings a day. The daily posting limit fluctuates. You cannot communicate with anyone at Facebook to plea your case so you just have to wait out until they decide to un-suspend you. So be Very Careful.

I have focused on Facebook because it is the largest and the most well known.

We also share in the Executive Pool (profits) of the store depending on your level, so this is another thing to do. Work at increasing your level/rank in SFI. The higher you get the more share you receive - more money as well as other benefits. A boost to our income.

We also need to recruit Affiliates that we can train to promote TripleClicks. Not only will they become successful but as sponsors and co-sponsors, we also benefit financially from their efforts. - Another boost to our income.

Promotion can cost money and we should look carefully at spending our advertising budget wisely. I would suggest starting out slowly with small advertising campaigns and only commit larger funds when you are confident that the ROI expected will be achieved.

You can promote by word of mouth - Very Cost effective.
You can also promote online using free classified sites, traffic exchanges, email submitters etc.. There are many of these, you just have to look for them. Be aware though that these are not as effective as paid advertising because you have no control over the placing of the ads etc..
