I find the SFI Hit Tracker quite adequate for tracking my ads.

With the hit tracker, I can see which ads are getting hits and which advertising avenue give me best results. I use the tracker for both online and offline advertising.

For each ad I compose or use, I assign to it a unique number and I record this number on a spreadsheet. The ad can be a text message, banner, email, flyer, etc..

I advertise at specific sites – Classified, Submitters, Social Sites. Each site is allocated a unique number and is recorded as per the ads.

When I post an ad, say in FaceBook, I would enter in the link after my SFI ID the FaceBook ‘site code’ (22) and the ‘ad code’ (15) for that particular ad. My link will look something like this http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXX.2215/FREE

If I get a hit and later when I check the SFI Tracker, I see the code combination of 2215, that’s confirmation that someone at FaceBook viewed that ad. If it results in a conversion, e.g. someone signing up to SFI, that’s fantastic and obviously I am going to run that ad again at FaceBook.

This is for ad tracking but you can also use it in a similar way for tracking the effectiveness of any advertising campaign you run.

If you are starting out in advertising, you will most likely write many ads and use many advertising avenues. Check the hit tracker regularly and narrow down your activities to those ads and sites that give you results and focus on those. Be aware though that new advertising avenues and sites come online all the time and other sites lose their momentum/status/effectiveness, so always be alert and test our new avenues.

I believe that the best strategy to attract younger people to SFI and then keep them active is to adopt a strategy that is similar to how you attract others & keep them active.

Most of the answers you will get will probably be based on the 'European' or American based young persons with their outlooks, how they socialize, tools and gadgets available to them, their status in society, their level of income etc.. Those answers are most likely correct for those young people based in those regions. Young people however are not the same throughout the world.

Your strategy will depend on the country/culture of the young people that you are targeting.

The age bracket you are referring to, 21-35 years, tends to be the age when people are attending college, starting jobs, starting new families, establishing homes. In some countries/culture, this age group is the one when they are travelling, jumping from job to job - searching for their niche, they love partying and socializing at night clubs etc..

They all have in common their need for money and also they are busy people with work, families, studies, sports etc.. I therefore believe that the strategy to attract active younger PSAs is to push/promote the following:

- SFI is free to join and there are no upgrades required
- SFI can be operated part time from anywhere in the word, even if they are travelling
- SFI is ideal for those who have to stay at home such as young mothers
- SFI is not a get rich quick venture but it can be a source of long term residual income
- SFI can be operated in the evenings after their studies or full time work
- SFI is an online business and can be operated purely online without the need to deal directly with clients and customers.

There are many more SFI points that we could promote to them but if you focus on the fact that
SFI is free - its a great source of income - and they can operate it as and when they are able to do so - they have freedom : you should have great success attracting young people that will remain active PSAs.

The 'best' place to advertise SFI as far as I am concerned are where ever there is advertising opportunities. This can be online or offline, it could be formal advertising or in general conversation & association with friends and acquaintances.

For online advertising - the best way to find advertising places is simply do your research. You can experiment with the different types of online advertising and with different websites.

Regarding websites, you will come across sites that are 'full' of affiliate advertising. Why is that? Its probably because the site is affiliate friendly and/or the site gets results. I would suggest you place your ads there. Fish where the fish are biting.

Having said this, you need to have a look at the rating of the sites as well. Who is going there. If hardly anyone goes there, you may well be wasting your time and/or money advertising there.

Social sites such as FaceBook etc get great exposure but be careful that you do not breach any of their rules or your will be blocked or banned. FaceBook seems to be the most aggressive in this regard.

By the way, free advertising does work. Sure, paid advertising works faster but if funding your advertising is a problem, why not use free advertising as well. There are hundreds of these free advertising sites online. The results from free advertising is slow and more work on your part is needed but it works.

For offline advertising - I would suggest the following:
- Local newspapers. Cultivate your image here with local promotions such as supporting children 's sporting teams - getting their picture with SFI in the paper - write an article about SFI -
- Print and distribute flyers. You can delivers this to homes, distribute them as schools, waiting rooms etc..
- Home promotions - You can have calender's, fridge magnets, pens, cups etc.. decked out with SFI logo and your website address etc.. Anything that would constantly put SFI directly in front of them.

Advertise SFI whenever and where ever possible.

If the ‘other countries’ have similar language and culture to that of your own then there should be little difference in your dealings with them as with your affiliates in your own country.

If however language and/or culture of the ‘other countries’ are different from yours then you have a bit more work to do if you are to help them. There is no one best way of doing this. It’s a combination of actions:
- Develop some understanding of their culture and how this would affect your affiliates businesses and how you should communicate with them. Such things as beliefs and attitudes to religion, gender differences, business view etc..
- Ensure that your affiliates, if English is not their primary language, are aware of the translator facility on every SFI page.
- Ensure they are aware of the ‘language’ facility in the Forum and encourage them to use them
- You can also put the affiliates from those countries in groups under the leadership of one of their own, a Team Leader who speaks their language and understands their culture. Use your reassignment tool for this purpose.
- When you communicate with them, prepare your message in English, then translate your message to their language using an online translator. Then translate it back to English and keep on working with it to ensure your message is clearly conveyed to them in their language.

There are many and various ways of communicating with team members but I think the main thing to do is work out which way is best for each individual member.

This is of course easier when you have a small team. If you have a large number of affiliates, I would recommend that you focus your communication efforts on your movers. Sure you still need to keep in contact with all members of your team, but make sure you do not lose contact with your workers. They are the ones who will bring you the money.

The main ways I communicate with my team members are - emails, streams, e-cards and newsletter and I find emails and e-cards to be the most effective way to connect with them.

The majority of the emails I receive from my team members are in reply to my e-card messages. I use the E-Cards a lot. They are easy and quick to use personal messages. The only minor draw back is that if I forget to save them, the messages are lost ones they have been sent.

I find that all my workers communicate with me by email.

Whenever I see one of my people are online, I send them a chat request and connect with them that way. I also connect with some of my team on FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Skype is also good.

Speaking to them on the phone is not always possible for me because of where I live, the difficulty of time zones and of course the costs involved. I am afterall running a business.

So for team messages, I stick with the streams and Newsletters but for the workers, I use E-Cards and Email.

TIP: If you haven't done so already entered all your teams emails on a mail group in your Gmail, Yahoo or whatever you use. Call it SFI Group and send out emails to them using the bcc facility say ones a month. Those emails that come back to you as undelivered are obviously not correct so you can try and find other means of connecting with those people. Every time you add PSA & CSA to your team add their emails to your group and if they leave SFI, take their names off you group mail.

Stream is actually quite a valuable and effective communication tool.

All you sponsors should use it as often as possible to communicate with your PSAs, CSAs or both. You can also communicate with your A2A friends on Stream.

An affiliate needs to log in order to see what you have written in Stream. All your ‘Movers’ will see your messages because they are the ones that are most likely to log in. They are also the ones that would be actioning their ‘to-do-lists’ and would therefore definitely go to the Stream in order to collect their AVP after reading your messages.

Bear this in mind when compiling your messages for the Stream. Your audience will be ‘Movers’ and those who are lagging behind and may log in every now and then.

Your posting must therefore be:
- Light and encouraging; urging them on to stay the course and become successful
- Instructional :giving them tips and how to do certain things etc..
- Informative : New happenings within SFI/TripleClicks, Spin & Win etc..
- Motivational: Announcing milestones & congratulating the achievers; announcing team contests & their winners; quotes
- Encompassing: While acknowledging achievers, encourage others and also acknowledge their struggles etc..

If you do these things you are using Stream to build up your SFI Business. Your team will be encouraged, well trained and well informed of developments within SFI. They would be happy and passionate about SFI. They will duplicate, they will earn many VPs, they will be very active affiliates and you the Team Leader will have a flourishing SFI business.

The only difference between the Privacy Maxx product and other products at TripleClicks regarding availability, as you stated, is that Privacy Maxx is available only to the United States residents.

All affiliates can therefore promote the Privacy Maxx using almost exactly the same methods as they do for the other products. Those affiliates residing outside the United States however must make sure their advertising is targeted towards Unites States residents.

For example when posting on classifieds, make sure that your ads are posted for the United States market and not somewhere else such as Asia or Europe.

If for your promotions you are using social media, make sure that you spell out that the product is available only in the US for US residents. I recommend that you join and post at groups that are specifically set up for the US and their membership are primarily US residents.

Obviously those affiliates residing outside the US who want to promote the Privacy Maxx will have to rely heavily on online marketing. They can however still place ads at local US newspapers and magazines.

Yes there definitely is.

What you don't want are affiliates who are dependant.

You don't want your affiliates to keep on coming to you for information that are readily available especially on the SFI website. They will in time develop their own teams which they will have to sponsor, so you want them to find out the answers themselves.

I would suggest that when they come to you for answers to matters that are readily available, don't brush them off but at the same time do not give them the full answer if possible. I would answer their question and at the same time tell them that there is more information to be found on the website and then give them the link. In this way they start finding out the information themselves.

I also tell them how to search for information via the Affiliate Center search bar.

I have seen posts by affiliates on the forum and A2A who appear to be asking for financial help in order to achieve EA status etc.. Sponsors need to be very careful about giving financial help to their affiliates. By all means, provide incentives (TC, Reassignments, Gift Cards) for the affiliates to reach milestones but I would not recommend making it a habit of say giving them TCredits so that tye can achieve EA status etc.. I might do it ones for an affiliate and thats it.

As we come to a close of 2015, have a look at how the year went for you.

Every month, you would have set your monthly goals within your overall goal of being an SFI business person.

Analyse you results for the year:
- How did you get on?
- How did your performance in 2015 stand up against your performance in 2014?
- Where did you do very well?
- Where could you have done better?

Having carried our your performance analysis now prepare a business plan, a strategy if you like for 2016. I always capitalize on where I have done well in the past. Of where I could have done better, I can try it again, refine, or abandon it altogether.

Always work to a plan. Never simply drift. It gets you nowhere.

I always find that doing these things refocus me. Planning energizes me and hones me into what I have to.

I have already done my plan for 2016 including in there the new team leader qualification requirement. I look forward to putting my plan in action, come the new year.
