"Can I set up my SFI business to run on autopilot? If so, how?"

I wasn't going to worry about answering this question because so many answers had already been written before I found it. I have read many of the answers and agree with most who say you can't.

However, while I believe it's a bad idea to run your business on autopilot, it certainly CAN be done because my sponsor does it. My sponsor is a Platinum Team Leader and a well-know internet 'guru' who only logs in once every 10 days to update his leadership page which is a requirement to get his matching VP.

The only thing he does as a sponsor is send out his pre-written welcome messages to new PSAs, which I imagine a secretary does for him. He has an ingenious system of recruiting which happens on autopilot and I have found many of my a2a friends have come into the business via this advertising campaign. We are not happy with his lack of interaction with us. He is raking in a LOT of money for which he does nothing, zilch, zero. I always give him a number 1 sponsor rating and have written some comments as to why, but of course he never logs in or reads them. He doesn't reply to emails and never sends team mailouts, posts in Stream, answers Ask SC questions, or participates in the forum. He maintains his EA status by having an IAHBE standing order.

This lack of involvement in the business doesn't seem to affect him in the slightest because so many people have joined through his advertising campaign, that he has a massive downline and reaps the benefits of all the matching VP.

So, yes, it is possible to run the business on autopilot, but you don't make any friends that way, and your team doesn't like you and resents that you make money out of them when you don't deserve it. It is selfish and uses people for your own gain without doing anything to help them.

I certainly wouldn't recommend it. It is a horrible way to treat your team.

To gain the maximum benefit of being an SFI affiliate you need to be a team leader so that you can have the matching VP of your team and be rewarded with bonus TCredits and new CSAs each month. The higher the rank of team leader you achieve, the deeper levels you receive matching bonuses on, and the greater number of CSAs and TCredits you receive.

However it's not much use maintaining the rank of team leader by having the minimum action VP and scraping in on your own sales VP. This will not benefit you if you do not have a team earning VP from whom you can earn matching VP. So to get the maximum benefits of being an SFI affiliate means you have to work hard to help your downline also to build their own strong businesses. In this business, the more you help your team succeed, the more you help yourself also - a real win-win situation.

The 'how' of achieving team leader status and helping your team is about how hard you work and the strategy you employ to make team leader and maintain it. You need to log in every day and do all your daily, weekly and monthly actions, purchase whatever level of standing order you can afford - even if it's only a single TCredit, enter the TTime draw as often as possible and accrue as many TCredits as you can to bid in auctions or play games or download music etc to earn action VP.

You need to advertise for or buy PSAs as you can afford, and then communicate with them regularly to help them know what to do, to guide them, motivate them and encourage them.

It is necessary to help people with this expectation to realise that such an idea does not happen in real life, unless they win a lottery ticket. Ask them to think of any circumstances where one can succeed without a lot of effort, perseverance, learning and investment of both time and money. There isn't one. Every business you might start requires it, and even most jobs require considerable time investment if one wishes to advance to a higher level. A professional job requires perhaps years of study before one can even begin to earn an income and you will have thousands of dollars of tuition fees to repay.

Explain that SFI is a system that will indeed eventually make it possible to become rich but that it will require consistent effort, dedicated perseverance and a great deal of learning. There will be no tuition fees to repay and one can begin earning from day one, while still in the learning phase.

There is a story about a wise man who asked a king if he could be paid by being given a grain of rice on the first square of a chessboard, then double that on the 2nd square, double that again on the 3rd and so on on until the whole of the 64 squares were covered. The king felt that wasn't much payment and argued for a higher amount, but when the wise man insisted, the king found that the kingdom did not have enough rice to make that payment and it would take many years and the kingdom would go broke. The wise man understood the power of duplication, and the king soon discovered it.

Our SFI business employs this same power of duplication. Relate this story to your prospects and show them the real power of working as a team and benefiting from the efforts of your team. It will take time to build your team, but when you do, the sky is the limit!

There are several important things you should be doing. I'm not sure whether any one thing is the single most important thing, but it would probably be doing all you can to maintain your Action and Sales VP so that you keep that ranking of team leadership and not fall back. Of course that requires consistent daily logging in and doing all the daily, weekly and monthly actions as well as sponsoring PSAs, PRMs and ECAs, and buying from TripleClicks yourself.

You should also maintain your leadership page and correspond with your team regularly to guide and motivate them.

As a team leader you need to set the example for your team to follow. The team provides you with the power of duplication, so they must see you doing what you expect of them, if you want them to duplicate your efforts.

I won't say 'good luck' because it doesn't depend on luck, but on consistent persevering hard work on your part to be a successful team leader. You will reap the rewards of your effort.

I don't believe new affiliates should become team leaders in their first month.
Really the only way you could achieve team leader in the first month is by doing all the Getting Started Actions, Launchpad, and Intermediate Actions in one go. That is very do-able because I did it and became a BTL very fast.

But it did me no good at all. I had no team to lead or get matching VP from, and I couldn't maintain that status without spending a fair bit at TripleClicks. Eventually I had to drop back to EA2 because I couldn't sustain the monthly expenditure without anything coming in. I have since worked out that with careful management, those initial 'free' once only VP can be made to last over 3 - 4 months if new affiliates log in every day and do all their daily, weekly and monthly actions, as well as buy just a single TCredit as a Standing order.

During this time you will learn and come to fully understand the business and hopefully have a team to begin to benefit from. When you check your scoreboard page, and see that you are missing earnings that are worth chasing, then go ahead and spend the money to move on up to BTL and beyond - but don't do it in your first month.

My greatest challenge to success in SFI would probably be in finding PSAs who log in again after they've joined, or stick with it beyond the first month. This has been a challenge to me because I can't afford to buy PSAs every month as some manage to do. They can risk investing in this until they finally find their diamonds, but if you joined SFI because you are broke and needed to make money, then this expense is not sustainable.

I have been working to overcome this problem by looking for free advertising opportunities and developing an advertising plan that will explain what SFI is all about, before people join up. I have made a lead capture page and written a series of emails to explain the business, so that when my new PSAs join, they will know what they are getting into and have an idea of the level of commitment required to succeed. I hope that this will bring people who will not drop out, but who have caught the vision.

While I can't say that I have overcome my first greatest challenge yet, I think I am on the right track. Now my next greatest challenge is to spend time every day advertising my new lead capture page and getting people onto my email campaign. I have made a daily timetable to try and get a routine going to help me be organised and achieve this as well.

As yet I don't have a blog, but am in the process of starting one. I've registered a name and started my first article, but not yet posted it. I have been considering this very question myself. What I have decided to do after a great deal of thinking and reading ASK SC answers to previous blog questions is to establish 2 blogs and perhaps even more down the track.

One will be a subject unrelated to SFI, but a passion of mine - motherhood and homeschooling. The other will be about SFI and TripleClicks together.
I'm hoping that my first blog will suggest to full-time mums that they can supplement their family's income by starting an online business and the benefits to their children of being involved in a family business. It will have banners for SFI and TripleClicks and possibly some paid ads by some mums who run other home based businesses as well. There will be links from home based business articles to my other SFI/TC blog.

I'm planning to research TripleClicks for products which may be useful to mums and children and promote these incidentally in my mums' blog and hopefully turn some of them into PRMs and maybe get them buying the natural cleaning products and such like.

Those are my ideas which I am currently working on, so I hope no-one reading my answer will jump in and grab my niche!

People in this situation will think you've been scammed or conned and will undoubtedly accuse SFI of being a pyramid company. I hear it frequently.

My advice is to take it slowly and cautiously and don't try to convince anyone to try SFI. When you are making some money, you can say something casually alluding to your extra income and respond to a person's interested questions.

A great opportunity to share and arouse genuine interest and excitement is there when you have won something really good for a phenomenal bargain on Pricebenders. When you can show a mobile phone or Ipod or something that they would like themselves and say you got it for $4 or some crazy price, playing Pricebenders auctions at your TripleClicks store, they will take notice and show interest.

Bit by bit as they see your enthusiasm they will begin to ask you questions and then you can lay the whole thing out before them. Don't go beyond what they're asking.

Also if you find a product in TripleClicks that you know is of particular interest to one of these people, just pop them a short email telling him briefly what you found. Ask if he's interested in having a look at it and would he like you to send him the link. Give him the chance to say "yes, please". If you just send the link without being invited, he'll probably just delete the email without even getting back to you about it.

I think this low-key strategy is best in these situations when people have been turned off by previous bad experiences.

I also post auction wins on my Facebook page and have a Wordpress site of my own where I have banners posted, and can add whatever I like.
I have joined LinkedIn and Australian Business contacts, where I can make announcements, join discussion groups and have individual communications with people.
I also use a signature in my emails.
I have subscribed to an autoresponder and I'm learning how to use this to build a list to whom I can promote SFI.

Well, that would be nice!

I'd not rush in and become BTL in my first fortnight.
This wasted all my Getting Started, Intermediate and Launchpad VP which you only get once. If I were to start again, I would do the minimum to get my fast start bonus 200 VP on the first day, and then I would log in every day and do all the Daily Actions every day right from day one, and then make up the extra to become EA from my Getting Started actions. Depending on the time of the month I enrolled, I might not even worry about EA the first month, but have my VP rolled over into the second month. I would definitely read everything to learn as much as I could, but I wouldn't click on the link to get the VP. Then over the next few months, I would come back and reread everything and get the VP later.

Then I would not waste money buying something I didn't use, just to maintain my BTL when I didn't have a team from which I could earn matching bonus VP.

I would buy TCredits and earn VP and MRP from participating in auctions, especially DP auctions - although they weren't available when I first joined. Thanks, SFI for that innovation.

I would also start a blog immediately and share my SFI journey from the day I joined, sharing all my little victories, and begin learning about online marketing methods. I would put some ads in the blog and promote it to my friends via email and facebook.

I would start an autoresponder campaign, writing about my experiences and sharing my passion about SFI, and create a splash page which I would promote also in my blog and via facebook. I would also put it in TEs and Safelists, but I would not waste hours clicking for credits on these every day. That really wasted hours of my time. I would use up all the free credits available when you join and just keep joining and advertising on new ones.

I would also make a schedule of when I was going to do all these things so that I would actually do them and not procrastinate.

I try and pass all those ideas on to my new PSAs, but most don't seem to take any notice. It seems a sad fate of humanity that everyone has to make and learn from their own mistakes, rather than learn from the mistakes of others, doesn't it?
