In my experience, the one thing my Affiliates struggle with most is recruiting and retaining new Affiliates to their own teams. As with most members of SFI, this is a problem that I also have to deal with, so I have a few ways in which I try to support my Affiliates:

* I tell them of my experiences - 2 years with SFI and although I have recruited or purchased many Affiliates, I still only have a small number of consistent workers - work with the workers and don't be downhearted as this

The new Wave3 programme makes it much easier to promote. For me the Tripleclicks information with the provision of a specific link for each item that leads a reader to a page telling them not only about the item but also who recommended it, (ie YOU), is a brilliant development.

Personally I am currently only promoting this in two places, Facebook and Twitter - each day I choose an item from Tripleclicks and advertise it in both places, using the link plus a short sentence saying what a

From my point of view, there are a few main uses for a personal SFI website:

1. To encourage your existing Affiliates and give them additional support, advice and information to assist them to improve their SFI business.

2. To encourage new sign-ups to SFI, by providing them with the information they need to decide whether SFI is for them.

3. To advertise individual Tripleclicks items either being sold by yourself or that you feel would be beneficial to your readers,

Since you started your SFI business, how has your focus changed? What do you do differently now?

When I first started with SFI, back in 2013, I knew nothing about internet marketing and even less about running a 'virtual business'. I had successes and failures as I developed by business, but kept going. My immediate focus at that time was to learn about the SFI system - in part, that focus has not disappeared as I am still learning and hopefully managing to transfer my learning to my Team. However, my focus has now broadened slightly to spend more time supporting my Team and encouraging other

If you were to start over with SFI, what would you do differently, knowing what you do now about this business?

Personally, if I was starting again, I would not be in such a hurry to get to a Team Leader leavel

I hit BTL quite soon in my SFI career, with three excellent PSAs and two good CSAs. After a good few months where hitting BTL was easy and I was aiming towards STL, suddenly one of my PSAs decided to give up and nothing was going to persuade her to stay, then a second slowed up dramatically. This made the easy achievement of BTL much more difficult and really hit my confidence.

What will you do differently in 2016 to grow your SFI business?

For the past couple of years with SFI I have concentrated on learning the system and applying what I have learned in a fairly narrow way, mainly chasing VPs. In 2016 I intend to spread my learning wider and seek out new PSAs and PRMs in places I have not previously used.

The Internet is changing and expanding at an amazing pace, so the sites I have used to tell people about the potential of SFI need to change too. I will still maintain a presence on social media sites, but will delve deeper

How do you know if you are capable of building a successful SFI business?

I believe that the only way to find out if you capable of building a successful SFI business is to jump in with both feet and give it a go!

You need patience, persistence and to be committed to developing your 'business brain' and your business. Some of this comes direct from the excellent SFI programme but the rest is up to you.

Keep the faith and wonderful things can happen!

Offline or online recruiting...which is best and why?

I think that each individual must play to their own strengths. Some of us are skilled at marketing on the internet and others are very good at talking to people face to face about SFI and encouraging them to join us.

To me, you must develop your own mix of the two - but make your recruitment methods stand out from the crowd. Placing online adverts and handing out flyers in person are two obvious ways to recruit, but what about using both online and offline opportunities in more creative

When do I know that I've become successful in SFI and TripleClicks?

I think it really depends on what your definition of 'successful' is. Probably we are all here to earn extra money and that may be our ultimate measure of success, but in my 13 months with SFI my definition has changed many times. I thought you may find it helpful to see some of my personal measures of success over that period of time:

1st - to register and understand what SFI was all about.
2nd - to earn enough VP to gain EA status in my first month.
3rd - to gain EA2 status

I have experience with in-person presentations, direct mail, trade shows, handing out biz cards, network at events, etc. Can offline marketing be as effective for my SFI business as online marketing?

I would say that your experience is perfect for building your SFI business. The 'personal touch' of being able to not only explain, but also demonstrate the effectiveness of the system is an important factor in encouraging new Affiliates and developing your team. I have found that my most successful team members are currently those whom I have met face to face.

However, to maximise your chances of developing a quality team you should not ignore the benefits of alternative on-line marketing.
