Great question! There are so many ways! But for me, here are the best ways to learn (after SFI training) about advertising that worked for me when I was a complete novice:

1. I used search engines like google.com, yahoo.com, bing.com etc.: I used search engines most especially google.com to search the internet on tips and hints about advertising. With search engines you can discover some great forum posts, nonprofit websites articles, eBooks, magazines, youtube videos etc. that can help you learn about advertising (even as a complete novice). A novice should at least be able to type in relevant keywords for the search engines to search.

2. I asked my Sponsor/Upline Team Leader(s): You can get great advertising tips from your sponsor or team leader. If you are a total novice, your sponsor has been doing his/her SFI business before sponsoring you and probably should know at least a bit about advertising using the internet.
3. I joined SFIs a2a membership: With this feature, connect with as many successful affiliates as you can. Ask of advertising tips from them and you will be very surprised to see that many of them will be willing to help.

4. I participated in the SFI forum: The forum is where you can ask questions and get answers 24hrs a day, 7days a week, day and night. It is just like having hundreds of sponsors. Get your questions answered at the forum since there are a lot more people to ask there than just your sponsor. The forum can even help you get answers to questions that couldn’t be answered by your sponsor/upline/team leaders.

5. I bought eBooks with subject based on advertising from the hundreds available at TripleClicks.

6. Lastly but not the least is this Ask SC.

Learning never ends. My advice is to stick to #1 above and use all other as an attachment... Your story is sure to change with time. I hope you find this answer useful.

The best advice i have ever gotten from my upline is to "keep trying different places for advertising"! Yes, this has helped me a lot. I kept trying different places and different methods. And you know one thing? I did not give up even as i kept seeing little or no results... and now, its all changed! I now know how to advertise and where to advertise to get good results. So i advice everyone to do as i did. Keep trying! and as time goes by do more of what works and less of what doesn't/ And success shall be yours in your internet marketing career.

Simple answer! The "SFI TripleClciks MasterCard from Payoneer"!

Mailed checks can take days or weeks before arriving and in some developing countries, it can take forever and you never receive the checks.

Paypal is great but in Paypal, you still have to withdraw the money to your bank acct. or Credit Card before spending so i do not highly recommend it in SFI where i have access to Payoneer's MasterCard. Also, many countries have been blacklisted from working with PayPal.

If you are like me, you don't have to wait for days before receiving your money. And remember, you get a whopping 500 VP (action points) just for ordering your card.

Getting SFI affiliate to promote your products depends on the following:

1. The kind of product your are selling.
2. Are you the only ECA selling your kind of products at TripleClicks?
3. If your aren't the only ECA selling it at TC, is your pricing too high?
4. How many percent are you giving TripleClicks/SFI? Most especially if you aren't the only ECA selling your kind of products at TC (important).

Are you selling physical products? or Digital products (with many competitors). All affiliates like promoting products with high margin so they earn high DC. You may give TC low margins if your kind of products are scarce at TC or your are the only company selling your kind of products at TC. If many ECAs are already selling your kind of products at TC, then you may have to give TC high margin to convince affiliates to leave the other store products for your own products. Why not do a little research at TripleClicks before you start trading?

I do what i want my team to do. Or should i say i use the "Golden rule". I lead by example. I have a temporary permanent rule that as long as my affiliates (Gen 1) are EA2, they keep getting 3 or so PSAs monthly from me while i teach them how get for themselves. I am doing this because one of the most herculean aspect of SFI newbies is sponsoring new affiliates. Some will surely copy my lead and do same to their affiliates thereby building our team and increasing our source of income.

As for me, here is what I have to say;

Your sponsor recruits many affiliates from all over the world. Some of them will work SFI and some will give up for sure. So a reason to reassign inactive affiliates to you may be to make you train them. Your sponsor may not be able to train them by him/herself because of some certain reasons.

One main reason for your sponsor not being able to train them may be location. Some of them give up because of this “my sponsor lives in a developed country (US) where PayPal is allowed and I live in an underdeveloped country (NG) that is banned from PayPal so, this business is not for me.”

Now that your sponsor already got you from the underdeveloped NG and you are achieving success, there will be a reason to reassign all those from Africa that gave up with many coming from NG so that you can prove them wrong and make some of them get back to work. You can write on something like this:

“Hi, I am from Africa NG, I’ve been working with SFI since XXXX and am successful. I can show you the way, you just have to allow me help you by simply following my simple instructions. My sponsor reassigned you to me because I can train you better. Think SFI is not for you? You are mistaking…”.

When you do this, you may be surprised to see that some of them might just start working thereby building your team and increasing your source of income (and for your sponsor too that did the reassignment). You see? The inactive affiliates can be of great benefit. If you are a sponsor, please know the kind of affiliates to reassign to certain people in your team for certain reasons and also, let them know why you did the reassignment so that they know how to approach them.

All in all, inactive affiliates aren’t a waste or a waste of genealogy space! If you sponsor can’t doesn’t mean you too can’t. Probably for some reasons, you may do better than your sponsor in certain aspects of the marketing that is why we need a team to be successful.

I use the gift certificates to build my SFI business!

Apart from welcoming tire-kicking affiliates to my team with a token of gift certificates, I use the gift certificates to call in fence sitters and others that are likely to give up on the business opportunity by setting contests for them. I either let everyone winning participant have a little share of the prize or rarely just make it big for just one winner. It just depends on the kind of contest. Ok, lets take a look at this simple illustration: "Everyone who makes EA will get $XX.XX GC from me" or "Sponsor the most PSAs this month and get $XX.XX GC". Clear right? I hope so! :)

I also sometimes award gift certificates to my affiliates for their achievements like recruiting, becoming EA or TL or other achievements too to make them know you like what they are doing.

For me, it is the gift cards! Give the cards to both people you know and those you don’t know. You can leave the gift cards at libraries, banks, post offices, etc. Don’t worry about losing them if not picked because you got the redemption codes with you at your affiliate center account and can give those lost card’s codes to other people.

Others can be words of mouth, organizing seminars, conference meetings, etc. Hope you get something from this. Thank you.

The TripleClicks gift card is indeed a great marketing tool like you said already because everyone wants free offers and can be given to anyone. But in order to get the best, it is ideal to give the gift cards to mostly internet users. I personally would recommend giving it to people in places like the cafes, banks, registration centers, school libraries, etc.
